Is it true that "systemic" pesticides cannot be washed off fruits and vegetables?

Systemic means it is incorporated into the flesh during the growing process - this prevents corn worms, apple worms, tomato worms, etc - it is highly effective and the toxicity levels to people is minimal. This also means that no amount of washing will remove the pesticide as it is in the "meat" of the fruit/vegetable. Hope this helped!
