In reality there are plenty of legal immigrants whom need work and even without the legal immigrants there are agricultural machines that could do most of the work if not all. They don't utilize them becasue it is cheaper to hire an illegal if they can get away with it...as corrupt as that is.Poor Illegal aliens are not the backbone of America,,they don't do the jobs that American's won't..they do the jobs that Americans CAN'T get hired to do because they are a citizen...there is a difference. illegal immigration is decaying the economy and social services of this nation...enough is enough..no more pity for illegals

Why don't people understand that illegal aliens can work for below minimum wage and sub-standard wage?
because they live in illegal housing and get paid tax free. They can live of these wages logistically. An employer can't pay a citizen below minumum wage because he can run into legal trouble. American's aren't greedy or lazy. He won't run into legal trouble for hiring illegals....in fact he will probably be called a racist if he doesn't..in some circumstances...especially in the resturaunt buisness. The illegal workers are substandard because of thier lack of education and skills...they have none! Not to mention the language barrier. They get hired for economic reasons..that's it. American citizens are of better quality. Illegal Aliens are NOT better workers. That is absurd. They get more of these labor type jobs and they think that it is because they are better..They are decaying the American blue collar work force

Yea that is true that Americans cant work that kind of Labor but then who would do it if all the people in America are citizens. America might think that they don't need immigrants but they do because they wouldn't have been able to get this far without their help. So we are all working together. And its not pity some People don't pay immigrants enough money to live a life, and they work on harder things to keep their family going. And YES they can get hired they just don't want to do it there is a difference.

Does it matter if we need them? They are comin on over because Phillipe needs money to send home. Never mind the fact that they are ILLEGAL, and they have their own country, no, they need to come here and "help" us. If you expand on it, illegal immigration is also creating monopolies which hinder growth and expansion. If a company hires illegals, they pay them less, which makes them more competitive. A startup paying Americans can't compete with a pre-existing juggernaut that is paying it's workers half of what the start up does. How is that a good situation. The only way to make things better is competition because those that don't improve die out.

They don't care if this country needs them they are not here for our benefit. They are trying to better their life and are not concerned about ours. That is pretty much the same as most people, most of us look out for our own and everyone else takes a back seat. All that being said you are right about why they are hired and it is not because they are better workers. They want complain too loudly when treated wrong because who would listen. It is the people who hire them who are the real problem. I don't blame a person for trying to better their life but if they break the law to do it then they are a criminal and should be held responsible for their actions.

If we really NEEDED more people, then we'd open our LEGAL IMMIGRATION department to accept more people.
The obvious smokescreen from pro-illegals is "tha we can't survive". Go figure, the economy was doing fine before 20 million illegals invaded - and suprisingly, is still doing fine.
It won't be for long. See how long an entire population of underclass will survive working at the new higher minimum wage.

I want to say I completely agree with you diablo.Also wanted to make a few other comments,if we need them so damn bad why dont they turn down the welfare our government offers them,and I was also wondering if these companys that hire illegals realize that they might pay illegals a lower wage but theyre taxes go up twice as high to pay for the welfare they get. And All cost of living goes up to make up for what illegals beg and steel,especially from our medical and our kids education.

They think so, but they are wrong. They have been brain washed by LaRaza and MEChA and other pro-illegal groups.
They work for slave wages which depresses the wages of the the poorest people in the USA to a third world wage. NO CITIZEN in the USA, on USA soil, should have to compete with a third world. Those people are ILLEGALLY here and should not even be an issue to the wages of our people.
I'm sick of people claiming those illegal immigrants just want 'work to feed their poor families'. That is such a CROCK! I have yet to see anyone coming across that border looking emaciated or starving. I see people from Ethiopia and other countries where they are REALLY starving, their children are DYING from malnutrition and they would LOVE to come to the USA. They are POOR. The USA sends aid to those countries but we cannot take in millions of poor people to be supported by our taxes. It's the same with those illegally entering from our border with Mexico. We cannot continue to support unlimited numbers of people who just 'want a better life'. I want a better life, too. I can't just go move in with a rich person and demand they take care of me and my family, provide us with medical care, food, clothing and let me have the run of his house. It don't work that way. You have to live according to what YOU, YOURSELF, can provide. If they want a better life, make it better in their own country. They shouldn't slither into the USA and demand WE take care of them. They're not starving! They are no more poor than some of our own citizens. They need to get a real life in their own country.

I don't think that illegal immigrants believe that we need them, they need us. It's a better opportunity to better the futures of their families. Where I grew up, immigrants did come and work on small farms (not for the "man") because local farmers couldn't get the rest of blue-collar/middle-america off welfare, unemployment, or their lazy asses to do the jobs that many immigrants are more than happy to do. Everyone's wants to save a buck...small-town farmers too. Don't get mad at the illegals.
