Ah, an age-old question, and one that has been throughly explored and debated by philosophers and thinkers who are much wiser than I, and who are likely to give you more insightful answers that the mostly trite responses you will get on the message bored (pun intended).

There are dozens of books with the title "Does God Exist?", and many others with similar titles that explore the question in a very thoughtful manner. If you are a true seeker and not just another flippant "stir the pot" guy, I suggest you read some of them. One I particularly like is "The Existence Of God" by Richard Swinburne. Swinburne concludes that God does exist, so to balance that you probably want to read one that reaches the opposite conclusion. A good choice there would be something by Bertrand Russell, perhaps his "Essays in Skepticism".

And to answer your question for myself, I have studied the matter extensively, and, yes, I am quite convinced of his existence.

Yes!!
the fact that you ask this question...the doubt, the fact that people bother to answer, the fact that there are those who believe, trust and get blessed by GOD and even more importantly because there are those who deny GOD's existance...GOD Exists...beyond all doubt.

If GOD did not exist, there would never have arisen the need to deny GOD's existance.

I think God exists for many people. I believe it's impossible to prove or disprove God's existance.

By the way -- hundreds of people have asked basically this exact same question in Yahoo Answers many times over. Here's a link...

It's a good idea to search the existing knowledge base before you post the same question yet again.

If God is what creaed this universe , it is NAUTRE of which you ar also a part . Nature moves on wihou worying about anythbing . It is man who worries about anything even afer fully knowing that no worry could stop anything from changing. Man can not hink of any etter form that his image and so in many cases he has ascribed his imag and character to the God of his own creation. God came on the scenc e of hs earth long afer the microbes and the grasses . so hey ae elder to him . God was born out of he imagination of amn along aster he reached the capapcity to think,so God is musc junior to man. If there was a God and God is what each religons has been saying , certainly no atorcities could ever happen in thnis world and he would have creagted all men as equal as God is capapble of all miracles and capable of everything and and is not incapapble of doing anything . But the happenings in the world prove other wise . he belkieer and non-belieer both bite the same dust. Those who spend thnier lives in the service of /od also die . This lifve is said o be evanescetn and worthless . When the god is notcapable of saving even this worthless lofe , how can anyone think that the God would be able to offer any eternal life ? If God is one who saves one ,hen our mothers ae our Gods as they feed us by thier blood while we ae in their womb and they breathed for us and they made us with thier blood . Even after birth , they feed us with thier blood turned into mill . There is no god superior to the mother in so far as the living beings are concerned .
It is what the hindu philosophy tells and there are stories extolling the gratness of mothers and they ae entitiled to the higest respect and veneration over the Gods. In fact God is accorded he fourth place in the order of importance . The mother is accorded the foirs place , the father , second , the tacher the third and God the fourth. mother is held to be more important even than the Gods by those who belie in God too. God is the creation of the imaginaion of man. If God exists , hewould like to be left undisturbed to atend to his responsibilites and and would only be angry with those who intefre with his duties for their selfish ends.HE will certaqinly consign to hell those who in his name exploit people and kill them in the name of religions.God as conceived my man does not exist . If nature is God , it exists and we are also existing in it .as a part of it .

yes HE exists. no one has ever seen the wind but everyone has seen the effects of the wind yet no one Denys the wind exists. all one has to do is look at the Heavens and Earth to observe the Handiwork's of GOD. therefore GOD, like the wind exists even if HE remains invisible to mortals 5 senses. realize there is no explanation to convince non - believers but this explanation works for me.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

I, personally, do NOT believe in the Judeo-Christian God. I do, however believe in a Goddess and God (Lady and Lord) aspects of a higher entity. I am a polytheist.

To each their own, however... all that is asked is that people don't force their beliefs on others...

I believe someone had to make us and the universe, we didn't just pop into being. i believe there must be a god, what kind of god, what his intentions for us are, etc., i'm not sure.
