Though it's less common, you can have stomach flu and experience nausea and vomiting minus diarrhea. Usually you get it coming out both ends, but if one symptom is going to be missing, it's gonna be diarrhea.

Stomach flu is caused by norovirus, and it is highly contagious. If you want to learn more about norovirus, check out this Best Answer I wrote a while back. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aj0uiEtpYNlsH1slWnn3HlXsy6IX?qid=1006040916466

There is also a chance that you had food poisoning. There are bacteria that grow on food and produce toxins that make people vomit. They usually have onsets from 2 to 12 hours following ingestion of tainted food. Staph causes sickness in 3 hours, Bacillus cereus causes illness in 5 hours, and Clostridium perfriengens causes illness in 12 hours. Most common cause of contamination is leaving hot foods out at room temperature for too long, allowing bacteria to proliferate.

What'd you eat 2 to 12 hours prior to vomiting?

You might have had a touch of food poisoning, that'll do it to you - both ends going!

It could have been the bug did you have fever? It could have been something you ate or drank
