I cann't remember the name of the book but it was the story about Chris Gardner. He was a single father homeless with a child. He lifted himself up and is now a multi millionaire!

If you mean what "cookbook" inspired me the most and why, then it would be my great aunt's ancient better homes and gardens cookbook. love the pics and the GIANT sized recipes. Families were a lot larger back then!

"The Source" by James Michener. It made me start to ask questions that led me to chucking delusional superstitionism (religion) on to the fairy-tale scrap heap.

i just finished "the white jacket" by herman melville. he is a pretty inspiring guy, because of his faith. its a crazy book though.
the bible inspires me.
