Make sure you get the natural organic stuff and you'll be ok. But just make sure its organic. Peanut butter is good for you. It has lots of good fat(which your body needs). But dont eat too much of it using the excuse that its good for you, coz even good fat is very calorie dense.

Recent research conducted at Harvard University confirmed that peanut butter can be successfully eaten during a weight loss diet. Another study at Purdue University demonstrated that people who included peanut butter in their diet were more successful in losing weight. This is because peanut butter satisfies your appetite and provides a feeling of fullness that can help reduce the total amount of food eaten.
Of course, you don't want to eat too much of it. One tablespoon or so on your sandwich is more than enough for the day.

I go with either natural peanut butter or the reduced fat peanut butter...but in very small amounts. It's healthier than a deep friend chicken wing, but anything is 'bad' in large quantities! Avocado and hummus are healthier for you than say mayo on your sandwich, but their fat content is high as well. It's all in moderation.

The 'better' brands of peanut butter are the natural kind, that are kind of gritty. They don't have added sugar or anything else. Peanut butter is really a fat not a protein and should be used more like a condiment, like butter or margarine, rather than as a protein.

Always go with the natural peanut butter, yes the stuff with the oil that sits on top. The other stuff is full of trans fats...and you must have heard about trans fats by now! As always....use in moderation.

Who told you Peanut Butter would help you lose weight? It in fact is used by many to do the exact opposite! If you want to GAIN weight, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are one of the best things to help you do that. Peanut butter is high in Carbs, sugar, fat and most importantly protein. Whoever gave you weight lose advice needs to be re-educated.

good god just eat whatever peanut butter you want...jeez...
diets dont do it baby!!!!!!!!!! whats wrong with you people!!!!!
if people would exercise more they would not have to worry so darn much about food...Are you really serious about doing this? We are talking about hard work. Putting down your little debbies, getting off your butt and not only going on a diet but EXERCISING!!! Even if you lose the weight it will come right back if you do not have the desire and motivation to not only look cute but to be healthy. it is going to take alot of inner strength I can assure you of that.
1.) eat 4-5 small meals a day
2.) drink lots of water
3.)exercise every day
4.) do not eat 4-6 hours before you sleep.
