Having first fitted my shoe cushion, I can kick an apple 86.3 metres.

This is a really good question, however if you'd have said an orange i could have told you precisely as one can kick one quite far if in it's unripened state; and much further than any apple. So in conclusion i would have to say not very far because an apple tends to explode when any great force is applied by way of a kick for instance. Good luck with your survey as i presume you are doing a paper on this at Uni.

Depends how big the apple is and what surface your kicking it across! the power in your leg might have an impact on the distance too!

Well...it all depends on many factors...one is the apple hard or rotten, if rotten than it will most likely stick on the end of your foot. If hard, it will depend on the force at which the kick is delivered now wouldn't it.
