in regards to aids in africa, i do think that the christian colonization does have something to do with the spreading, because they preach no birth control which equals no condoms.
and yes, its really annoying having them preach to me all day!! i dont go around telling them they are all wrong, why should i have to listen to that crap??

Well cows seem content on their way to get slaughtered as well. This isn't a power thing- Christians who use God to their own gain aren't Christians at all since He said that He did not come to this world to set up a kingdom. In Africa-a majority of the hospitals are ran by Christian's and the Muslims slaying peaceful Christian missionaries and kids is what started the war-the Christians are just protecting themselves. Get the whole story man.

Christianity and Islam are both Missonary Relgions, meaning that they both preach that it is thier goal to help save humanity. There are many verses from both of these relgions stating that they should essentially "go out and spread the word." Some churches like the Jehovah's Witness take this to an extream in some communities.
In many of the third world countries, these missionaries also take the role of helper. They do provide shelter, food and clothing to these people and in return ask for thier obedience to thier religion.
Wars are fought over many things though, and although religion may take an affect, often time at it's core Religion isn't the major cause.
Oh, and you may like the book "The God Delusion." It will help to explain some of these things, and is a definate read for a fellow athiest.

Why do firemen wake people up who are asleep in burning buildings? They're happily and peacefully asleep, but they're unaware of impending danger. Think about that and you'll realize the answer.
As for your other questions:
>is it because christians want power over the world and then point fingers at everyone but themselves because they refuse to take personal resonsibility?
No
>How about the missionaries in Africa? are they really making life better for the Africans?
The ones I knew when I lived there were.
>Or is AIDS spreading because of thier poor attempts to control it?
It's spreading because too many people engage in high risk behavior.
>How about the wars in India? are christians improving things by being in the war?
Christians are a minority in India and I'm really not sure what wars you're referring to.

in accordance to the Trinity doctrine, Jesus is God, yet a separate human being from the daddy. The doctrine teaches that there are 3 separate persons -- the daddy, The Son and The Holy Spirit -- who all contain one God. If this education is actual, there ought to no longer be any scripture interior the Bible that portrays Jesus as an entity separate and different from God -- separate and different from the daddy, definite; yet no longer separate and different from God. through way of evaluation, be conscious that there is not any scripture interior the Bible that portrays the daddy as a separate and different entity from God. it should be fully ridiculous, complicated, unnecessary and contradictory for the Bible to many times seek for suggestion from from Jesus as an entity separate and different from God, if Jesus is God. notwithstanding the scriptures you quoted do precisely that. back and back they communicate of Jesus being on the right hand of, no longer the daddy, yet God, hence contradicting the Trinity doctrine. because the Bible is God's understand actuality, the actuality that it so commonly contradicts the Trinity doctrine can advise purely one element -- the Trinity doctrine is pretend. (John 17:17) i believe -- because i believe maximum human beings have a minimum of a modicum of intelligence -- that deep down, many Trinitarians comprehend that the doctrine is pretend. yet delight and/or a want to slot in with the 'Christian' crowd compels them to play alongside, pretending or convincing themselves that they believe it. Many are hence in a state of denial about this falsehood. basically examine out how they answer the question. Many received't even tackle the certain situation you've raised, head on -- because they could't. Their purely selection is to ignore it and quote different so observed as 'info texts'. this isn't because they lack intelligence. that is because there is not any credible and passable argument to disprove what the Bible -- God's authoritative understand actuality -- very blatantly shows.

Christians DO want power over the world, regardless of how "sunful" it is to desire power. Remember, they are the only ones who look up to this one pope dude thinking he's the holiest man ever....
Man, come on! How could someone be forced to not follow their own human nature of sex? How could anyone in this world be randomly selected to be closer to the christian god than the rest of the population? I feel that it is a disgrace because catholicism is no longer a religion... It is a business.
Notice how every other religion EXCEPT christianity doesn't ask anyone for money?
And don't talk about heaven, either. It's a non-existent place in their heads that they would rather have than purgatory. Truth be told, you don't get saved by this one dude. You have to ask the God and the Goddess when you get to the astral plane if you are gonna be reborn in such and such amount of time. There's no heaven or hell, just dimensions and atral-projected planes of spirits.

Not all Christians insist on this or prosetalyse, as not all Muslims or any other adherent to a faith does. Sadly, like a window with a few smudges that you notice rather than the clean bits, you will see all the pushers, the insisters, the extremists and basically the idiots. You will miss out on the good people who quietly have their beliefs and live good lives.
I dislike dogmatic beliefs and strictures intensely and the people that push such narrow paths (mostly bad reinterpretations) are the ones I avoid and dislike. However, if people are willing to walk narrow paths of their own choosing without trying to impose their law, their restrictions etc into my life, then I have no right to judge them for their choices. My judgement would come if they impinged upon me. This I believe is correct ethics as far as it goes.
I don't like the Catholic stance on birth control and it sounds like the stupidity surrounding the subject does more harm than good. Again, it's only the pushers that are dangerous. The ones who wish to change laws to fit their narrow minded idiot views. The rest, the "clean parts of the window" are not to be blamed. Worth thinking about no?
Religion should grow up. All religions. They shouldn't cause war, shouldn't be allowed to dictate ANY laws and should be there purely by choice for those that wish to live within them.

This is why I do not understand why christians would skip over the important facts of salvation. Jesus is not saving you from depression- He is saving you from Hell! Many can be happy living in sin- but it is still sin. It is not about trying to give you more happiness- Of course Joy comes from Jesus Christ- but first you have to understand why you need Him. Because we have all sinned- I am not any better than you. I do not deserve salvation through Jesus! Yet I believe in Him because when I heard the gospel of His salvation it made perfect sense- everything started to make sense. And I knew I was a sinner- that I need His forgiveness. Not only that but now I have eternal life in Heaven. Anyone can be happy and live life- but without Jesus Christ it is pointless. This life is temporary- it will perish- you are willing to live this life the way you want, and eternity separated from God? Hell is real. I would wish it upon no one- it is not about me telling you I know more than you- It is about me caring enough to tell you the truth. Of what will happen when you reject Jesus Christ.
This life is like an hour compared to what you will experience after- Eternity- Does that at all concern you? I know you have heard the gospel- and I hope and pray that the Lord will reveal to you the meaning of life- and why it is christians come here to share His truth. Not to say "you need more happiness" --no but to show you how we have all sinned and need Jesus to forigve us- by believing in what He did on the cross. That brings me greater joy than anything. Yes true joy does come from Him- but not until you understand the gospel of salvation.

The christian "argument" is airtight in that it's completely insusceptible to reason. All your arguments are based on mind, and the christian need only reply "The carnal mind is enmity against God." It's simply not possible to find common ground for discussion between reasonable people and "christians." The quality of mind is different; the plane of thought is different. But note that christianity, like Islam, like nigh every religion in history, spread by the sword - if reason is to take hold of the world, it will likely have to adopt the same method. The christians to the lions!

You may have answered your own question(s).
I would love to see you find Jesus, but you don't have to in order to make me happy. I am happy because I have already found Him.
If you are one of those people that you are referring to as "happy" in their beliefs, then why does your question sound so bitter and hateful and angry with people of the world?
