Seven years. I know because I went through it back in the 90's.

Judgements will stay on forever, but a discharge will only be on your credit for 7 years. To help with you credit I would suggest you get the programs. Coming Back Strong Financially at the same website address. They have been a blessing for me. I have improved my credit greatly.

Standard collections 7 years but a BK will show for 10 and a Judgement will show for as long as it is outstanding (they can be renewed upon expiration).

According to the FCRA, it's 7 years from the date of 1st delinquency. See "running of the reporting period" in Section 605(c) here:

7 years from the date of last activity on the account. 10 years for a bankruptcy.

7 long years. what you could do if you have the money call the creditor and make a settlement and have them completely take it off your record. make sure to get that all in writting

13 years. You can still pay it off and have it reported by the creditor though.
