My God, now your talking !! After 26 years as a Landlady, over most of Britain, I have to say BODDINGTONS BITTER, when
it was brewed originally...then HARTLEYS which was brewed
in the Lake District, until they messed about with that as well,,
But, although it was a few years ago, a pint of WALKERS
BITTER (or mild!!) really hit the spot..ahh happy days !!!

Being Canadian my favourite is Labatt's Blue though Molson Canadian seems to have the markets edge on Labatt's. If you like it drink it for the taste not the name. They're the top two beers in Canada. My taste in beer is not based on the popularity of the beer but rather the taste. If you like the taste of it, then go with it. Still, my loyalties run strong with Labatts. Ricards if I'm in the mood for a strong red beer. Pick up a duz of Blue, put on the hockey game and Bob's your uncle.

Caffrey's? Beer?
Ha. Fizzy keg fluff.
Real beer is cask conditioned and has flavour.
Try Woodforde's "Wherry" or Yates "Fever Pitch" or Bradfield "Farmer's Blonde".
Three which will make you spit out your Caffrey's.

I love Newcastle!
My other favorites are Sea Dog Blueberry (hard to find outside of New England), Lion Stout (from Sri Lanka), XXXX (Australian - good for consuming in massive quantities), and good old Miller High Life.
