I am assuming that they were praying to the same god. They were in a mosque, on the same bench praying together.

I think that is wonderful!

Good on 'em. They both worship YHVH, why shouldn't they pray together?

Yes, Allah and God are the same. And I see nothing wrong with a Christian or Jew praying in a Mosque. It is a place sanctified to the one God that they all worship. I am glad the Pope has done this, to show that it's the same God and that they can pray together peacefully.

I see nothing wrong with it. I'm sure the Pope is praying to God and the head of the Masque is praying to Allah. It's lovely that they are praying together. They have shown what harmony looks like.

Yes they were praying to the same God. The One and Only God. Not Jesus.

Peace

The Pope also did annouce that they do all pray to the same God. And I agree. The same God created us all. So it's good to hear the head of the Catholic church agree, and embrace fellow religious people who believe in the creator, and who believe in the day of judgement.

Its a good thing, this is the kind of union the world wants. How commendable of them both. the pope did it and it shows how nice christianity is, how liberal. Which God each of them prayed to he knows in his hearth. The pope knows his God, The muslim leader knows his. (cant tell you they are not the same God... I wont tell you they are the same either)

Liberality and tolerance in christianity is evident; so good. How else do you teach people to be liberal, nice and peaceful if you dont show them example.

The pope has done it, who else on the otherside can do it? (no fingers pointed anywhere - please understand) Peace in the world is important. It can only be achieved if there is religious tolerance, though not everyone wants to hear of religious tolerance and unity in the world, but i tell you it is the one key to world peace

Yes. We need more peace between the religions. I don't know about praying to the same God though, but, at least they could be side by side praying.

The pope is praying to Jesus, the other to Allah but God's name is Jehovah....any of them correct?

I don't like it. As the head of a supposedly "Christian" church, he should not endorse the ecumenical movement, or the coming together of the world religions.
Jesus said he was the only way to God. That's it. No Allah, no Mohammed. Just JESUS.

The concept is good. i just do not believe the Pope does anything other than to try to get better PR. I do not think the man is honest.
