Put some peanut butter over it.. and a comb will easily get it out.

It's the easiest, quickest and painless way.

A simple way and iv done this myself, waking up with a hangover having a clump of chewing gum in my hair that fell out of my mouth while asleep.
Go in the shower, wet your hair then apply baby oil to it. This will disintigrate the chewing gum and before you know it, its all gone! It works straight away, it should take less than a minute.

A remedy that I was told of since I was young is to rub peanut butter in your hair, from there slowly pull the pieces of gum out. It's supposed to make the gum less sticky, I'm pretty sure it works....

You can cut it out or you can use ice if you don't want to cut it. Rub the ice on the gum, it'll make it hard and you'll be able to get it out of your hair. I think I heard of people using beeswax before too, but I've never tried that personally. Peanut butter is another choice, but don't do that if you're allergic to peanuts, obviously.

My daughter just did this a few weeks ago... she got it right at the top of her head, on her part... no way I was going to cut it out where it was. She's allergic to peanuts, so I couldn't use peanut butter on it... so I poured some olive oil on it, let it set for a little bit to let the oil absorb some, and then combed it out (keeping it separate from the rest of her hair...) It came out very easily. It also worked to get the mess from between her hands & off of my sink faucet where she'd tried to wash it off herself. My kids are banned from gum now, but at least I know if they get it in their hair again, the olive oil works wonders!

There are quite a few household things you can use - Peanut butter is definitely one of them. Also mayonnaise works and baby oil, rub on and the gum should slide out. White spirit also works as well. And olive oil!
Good Luck!!!

God those thumbs down really hack me off!!! Here's a link to where I got these from
