My mother in law wants to buy my 2 yr old and 8 month old a portable dvd player for a table top and you can put it in the car. I said it was a great idea, but it wouldn't work because when we are driving the seats get in the way, unless I drive with my seat erect, which I can't do. I have a bad back. I told her it was a great idea. I'm going to buy two for the headrests so the children can look directly straight infront of them, I'm saving money for it. She sounded upset. We don't travel much, and if we did travel to families or somewhere else the travel dvd player would be pointless because we would want to spend time with the family. So was I rude to not except a gift idea? I don't need it, it would be pointless. plus my daughter has torticollis, and she is suppose to look infront of her not to the side.

i have the portable tv's w/ the dvd for the car, the tv's go on the head rest. They are AWESOME, there like a automatic babysitter really, my kids 6 yrs and 3 yrs, absolutely love them everytime were in the car even if its only for a couple minutes they watch it, plus my husband and I get to talk which hardly happens much anymore. so for your question I would ask your mother-in-law to look into the car set with the 2 tv's so they can go on the headrests plus there also portable this way they won't fight over just one. also the one she wants to get and the ones you want to get are around the same amount the ones for the car are a little more expensive (tell her you'll go in on it with her)Good Luck

gay adult males favor to play softball purely as a lot as immediately adult males. And if he doesn't play softball, he would use a monogrammed bat to fend off homophobes. heavily, how about something that isn't any longer fairly as activities-orientated: A funds clip or perchance a present card to a effective eating position?

Your reasoning sounds fine to me. Just because she likes the idea doesn't mean its practical. Family has to learn that some things just won't work. My parents offer suggestions, but they also ask my opinion. Its all about making sure the child will like it AND the parent won't kill you for buying it!
