I downloaded it when Microsoft offered it and had zero problems.
I only need it for visiting stubborn sites that will only accept an IE browser so I felt I had nothing to lose by getting it - even though it is supposed to be very buggy.

Are you downloading the program from Microsoft website? Try to enable your Active X controls. Also shut off any pop up blockers. Make sure you download all the available updates first.

Check at microsoft.com
Seems there are some patches and updates that are needed in certain situations. I was able to download it but then I could not use with macromedia flash player. So I dumped it until there is a more reliable version.

I wouldn't recommend any of the procedures you've mentioned.. are you talking about installing it, and if so does it come up with an error message? And if not, search for a direct download on google.

That's happened with me before with another program. What I did was uninstall it, and install it again. This way it worked smoothly. Not 100% sure if it'll work with Yahoo, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Maybe your computer has developed a conscience and is trying to stop you from downloading that piece of crap.
