Everyone is a sinner, so it should attract everyone. Because there is not one rigteous but Jesus. Therefore we all need him, or we have to face a wrath filled God,that will not let sin go unpunished.

There are only 2 types of people, the sinners and the self-righteous. And self-righteousness is a sin. So, Christianity is specially attractive to everyone.

You would think so.

Satan is the reason so many people have turned away from God and why it is difficult to witness to them. Sinners in the devil's camp like to do what they do and that is to mock God. Must be a lot of fun because so many are doing it. It also has an expensive price tag.

14 Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers
who rule this people in Jerusalem.

15 You boast, "We have entered into a covenant with death,
with the grave [a] we have made an agreement.
When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by,
it cannot touch us,
for we have made a lie our refuge
and falsehood [b] our hiding place."

16 So this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
"See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a tested stone,
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;
the one who trusts will never be dismayed.

17 I will make justice the measuring line
and righteousness the plumb line;
hail will sweep away your refuge, the lie,
and water will overflow your hiding place.

18 Your covenant with death will be annulled;
your agreement with the grave will not stand.
When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by,
you will be beaten down by it.

19 As often as it comes it will carry you away;
morning after morning, by day and by night,
it will sweep through."
The understanding of this message
will bring sheer terror.

20 The bed is too short to stretch out on,
the blanket too narrow to wrap around you.

21 The LORD will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim,
he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon—
to do his work, his strange work,
and perform his task, his alien task.

22 Now stop your mocking,
or your chains will become heavier;
the Lord, the LORD Almighty, has told me
of the destruction decreed against the whole land.

It makes SOME of us wicked people attracted to Christianity. Those of us that KNOW that they are wicked have an advantage, we recognize our weakness, and we have been told that Jesus is a friend of the 'sinners.' So sinners like me have trusted God because of what He said; "Salvation is of the Lord."
"The just shall live by faith." That's trust.

Jesus provided us the object of focus. And we trust in God through Him.

You might have heard this: "There is strength in weakness." And it's God's nature to provide His children with what they need. And so; we are made strong, for He is our strength, and we are weak, but He is strong. To quote the Old Testament: "God is our Strength. Blessed is the man who trusts in Thee."

The Holy Spirit convicts the hearts of many. It is when the gospel of Jesus Christ "clicks" with someone - that they get it and receive it. The Gospel of Jesus is simple- and yet the world makes it so complex. Jesus does forgive- and He is the only one who will forgive sins.There is no other way than through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Yes and no. In the Christian religion, they believe that everyone is a sinner, and that since birth you are considered to have sinned. God however, refuses to admit sinners into Heaven, therefore if you subscribe to the Christian faith, the only route to heaven is through asking Jesus for forgiveness in your sins.

Criminals don't look for forgiveness, they just look for excuses and an alibi to avoid being caught for their crimes.

You, however, sound like you need some spiritual assurance about something. I would love to simply say visit a church. However, every church I know is corrupt and hypocritical.

I suppose you could read the Bible and look for that spiritual assurance you need.

The real theme of the Bible:

Harmony is harmony.

Disharmony is the only sin against God.

Funny you should ask.
You would think so, but it seems that sinners love their sin way to much to worry about where their lives are now or where they might be headed. I'm not not talking about Hell, I'm talking about right here right now. I know people who are miserable every day and will not walk away from their sin like it's an old friend. It just freaks me out.

May GOD richly bless you.

Contradictory to Fireball's great wisdom, the prisons are actually filled with Christians, so I'm going to support your theory. Anyone that asks why an atheist behaves since he has no god is obviously only acting good out of fear of this god.

Ofcourse it does! Our prisons are filled with the most vile criminals who once they have commited their crimes they decide to become christian. They may believe it saves their soul but what about their victims? How can a god forgive someone who has raped a child?
