My daughter and i are really close..she's my princess. I also have a son and a stepdaughter. My son is a boy of course and my step daugher is a tomboy...she's acts more like a boy than a girl. BUT my daughter is my little girly girl. I am PMSing right now and i dont know if she senses it or what but it always seems like around that time we BOTH go through it and she's only 7...almost 8. Last night she comes to me just crying her eyes out telling me how much she misses great grandpa (she met him once maybe twice) I think she just felt like crying to be honest. Is that normal. I am sure it's just an instinct...but i was just wondering how many other people go through the same thing with their daughter???

It's perfectly normal. At 7 years of age(my daughter is getting there), they start to think about life in more abstract terms like this one. They are trying to understand what's going on, and they've got new emotions coming up they've never dealt with before. My daughter the other day was angry and when I asked her, she said she didn't know why. It had to do with the fact she was jealous her older brother was doing stuff that she couldn't do, but she didn't know the word or feeling of jealously-she was just "mad". This is the age when kids will seem to behave in odd ways-they're just getting used to new emotions. Communication is the key, ask a lot of "how are you feeling", and work together as parent and child. It won't last forever- don't forget, they aren't even TEENAGERS yet! :)

Don't expect this with only your daughter- boys have emotional swings too! Yes, this is perfectly normal. You remember bein' a kid- the stress isn't the same as adult stress of course, but it's there. My daughter purges her soul sometimes, suddenly telling me about something she did wrong and wasn't caught at and then cries. Or she may remember our kitty who died and pow- waterworks! Don't worry. :)

I'm sure it's normal. I know I always seemed to notice when my mom had mood changes.

She can tell something is different about mommy when your mood changes. If you are sad, it makes her sad. When you are happy, she is happy. If your mood were to change for a reason other than PMS, I think her mood would still change to fit yours.
