This "spirit" is a meaningless word. It's not been properly defined and not worth my time and consideration.

Both Ezekiel 18:4 and 18:20 state clearly that "the soul that is sinning - it itself will die". All are sinners. The idea of an immortal soul that lives on after the body dies is a Greek philosophical teaching...not a Biblical one.

No, that is a false teaching. The Bible plainly states that "the soul that sinneth, it shall die." "God ALONE hath immortality." "He who hath the Son hath [immortal] life, and he who hath not the Son hath not life." Immortality is a condition that is bequeathed to those who are saved only upon Christ's return. Those who are unsaved will not have eternal life, in Hell or otherwise.
The doctrine of the immortal soul is espoused by the Catholic Church and has its origins in ancient pagan Greece and Rome. It is not supported by Scripture.
The Bible says that when we die, we enter into a state of dreamless "sleep" and will be awakened into a new, perfect, physical body when Christ returns.

There is no evidence to support the notion that there is anything more to a human being than its physical existence, so there is no such thing as a spirit separate from the body.

We are mortals. When we die our bodies return to the dust they came from but our souls go to HADES which has Paradise for the believers and Torment for non-believers, and waits till Jesus returns to earth and the judgment day is here.

Romans 6:12--- Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof...

Romans 8:11--- But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken you Mortal Bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you.

Ephesians 3:17- That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith...

Colossians 3:2-- Set your affections on things above, not on the things on the earth.

1 John 4:12------- No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1John 4:19-------- We love him, because he first loved us.
