Well you haven't said why you excercise so much. Are you in training? an athlete? If there is a specific reason then there is probably not a problem. Having said that, the fact that you even pose the question implies that you think you may have a problem. You may be using excercise as a form of purging- in this case you may be bulimic. You say you eat like a 'normal person' but normal people are not as active as you are therefore you are probably undereating. Without knowing more about your situation it is very difficult to say however it would not be considered anorexia.

I would advise calling an eating disorders helpline and discussing the situation in detail. Also try and calm down- you're doing a LOT of excercise and need to balance that with relaxation. Best wishes.

I have battled Anorexia for 12 very long years and there are a lot of things that go into it. You are under weight for you height and you do exercise a great deal, it could be a start. But Anorexics are obsessed with weight loss, they do do exercise obsessively, they eat very little to nothing, they are secretive and the whole mental process is totally consuming. The truth about anorexia is that the weight loss is the physical side of an underlying emotional problem. Anorexia has a lot to do with the emotional or mental side of things. Its a thought process that becomes absolutely necessary for that person to be happy.

This would be more along the lines of exercise bulimia. Purging the body of fat and calories through exessive exercise.
Your stats give you a BMI of 17.5, when anything under 18.5 is considered underweight. With that much exercise, you should be toward the heavier side of normal weight range, more like a BMI of 23 or 24, say, around 140 pounds due to increased muscle mass. With that much exercise, and a weight of 106, you are putting your heart in serious danger and are risking your life. Strongly consider getting help. This is not something you can beat on your own.

Yes, it can be considered Anorexia if you exercise obsessively in an attempt to make yourself 'skinny' and don't consume enough calories. Most atheletes and body builders who work out 3-6 hours a day will eat over 3000/4000 calories a day.

Whether it will be classed as Anorexia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Body Dysmorphic Disorder doesn't really matter. If you have a problem, you need to seek help, before you make yourself very ill.

See your GP who can refer you for specialist treatment. Good luck : )

Darl, anorexia is when you don't, or very rarely eat. Having suffered from anorexia in my mid teen years, I know what I'm talking about.

Your behaviour sounds more like 'compulsive', is there a reason why you exercise so much? If it's because you genuinely enjoy working out this much, then keep doing it. But if you are doing it because you feel you have to do it, then maybe something deep down is wrong.

Well, i must say that i think you are exercising far too obsessively cos 6hrs is just crazy.
And you are definitely below the normal weight range for your height. You should cut down your workout time to about 2 hrs a day and things should be better then.

You are underweight for your height and do not need to work out so severely. It will eventually mess up your periods and can damage your vital organs. You should speak to a physician about it.
