Yes they can.
contrary to popular belief it is possible for a litter to have more than one father. However one pup will not have 2 fathers, but the litter may be split. Meaning half the pups maybe from one father and the other half, from another.
To clarify this, say your female dog is in heat. So one dog breeds with her, and then on her way home another dog breeds with her. If both the dogs release sperm into her than there is a chance of 2 different fathers. And mind you this is possible because there are about 5-10 days where a female will breed with any dog, when she is in heat. But the pups will be divided in half. One half of the pups will belong to one dog, and the other half to another dog.
I also have a first hand example of this. I own a Labrador retriever. HE was bred to a black lab. So 2 times she stood for him and they locked. However the owner of the female also owned a brittany spaniel. The brittany spaniel also bred with the female and they locked as well. And when the pups were born, guess what? 3pure yellows, 2 pure blacks. Then the other 5 were black with white chest and feet, and others were black with tan, and tips of tails white.

Yes...this happened to a Boston Terrier that I found ( didn't know what kind of dog(s) the mother had bread with). When I the puppies were born, there were 4 that looked like Boston's and two that were all black and much bigger than the rest of the puppies. When I took them to the vet, he said that they might have different fathers. As they grew, it was obvious they did. Now full grown, the 4 Bostons are all about 20-25 pounds. The other two grew to be about 40-50 pounds and look like black labs!

Hello, Yes a litter of puppies can have 2 different fathers. Now even AKC will alow complete DNA testing on all puppies adult dogs and if indeed you have 2 different fathers the puppies can be AKC registered under the apro father. It is costly to do this but AKC has details online on how to.

Yep, a female dog in heat can get pregnant by several different male dogs. Then once the litter is born, different puppies will have different fathers. This is common, especially in stray dogs.
But as mentioned before, one puppy cannot have two different fathers.

Yes there can be more than one father to a litter of puppies.
Dogs release more than one egg during their heat cycle (same with cats). So if that female locks with more than one male and both have viable sperm it is likely that the litter will have more than one sire.

The answer to your question is Yes,if the female breeds different males, she can have a pup from each male, but if it is a registered pet,the breeder is liable for a high fine,as each time a pet is bred, the breeder must say that the female wasn't bred to any other males during her season. This is a signed statement when the breeder goes to register the litter.

I've heard of this happening with humans, so I assume it can happen with dogs although it is extremely rare. The two fathers would have had to mate with the mother dog in very close proximity to each other to fertilize two different eggs. It hardly ever happens because once the body of a female gets pregnant, it stops sending the eggs down to be fertilized.

yes but one pup cannot have two daddys. if you ever watch animal planet you sometimes see birthing of dogs, cats, etc. the babies dont look like the mom and there are 4 or 5 different colored babies. so i assume you can have different daddys for the babies.
