Does my kitty look snotty to you? She acts snotty and stuck up and won't let you pet her. Why is she like this? This is her http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2608875930098625606pqytMC

When I completely ignore her, she will come lay beside me and want petted. She hates getting brushed (not real covenient with the long hair).

Forgot to mention she RULES our household. She gets her way even with our other alpha female. Everybody including the other cats spoil her!

She doesn't look snotty at all, she is reall beautiful!
If the story's right and she was abandoned maybe she's still a bit traumatized, but even if she isn't, all cats are different in personality, and some really aren't the cuddly kind (which suits some people that don't like cuddly animals just some self suficient presence walking around their house).

Try letting her come to you, some cats with stronger personality seem to prefer that THEY decide when it's time to cuddle and when they feel like being pet.

I'd prefer a cat or dog that's a little bit aloof and independent than a needy one that doesn't stop jumping on me and freaks out when I'm not around! (and when she does come to you it's even more special)

Patience and don't stop loving her

No she does not look snotty. She is beautiful. Just sit on the floor take her in your lap, whether she wants to or not, and just keep petting her and scratching behind her ears and above her tail. That is how I got two of my cats to respond to my touch. My four cats love that.

She looks very cute!

I have found that all cats have different personalities. I find that female cats dont like to be cuddled quite so much as males, but that is just from my experience.

My cat HATES it when I pet her. She constantly attacks me and dosent like me to touch her. But she LOVES my mothers boyfriend and cuddles with him on the couch all day.

Cat's are wierd :)

She looks like a proper cat princess to me. Some cats just doesn't like being handled all that much. Be nicer to her, and let her come to your for affection; eventually she will. She will resist if you if you force affection upon her, though.

your kitty looks like mine. she'll be ok--give her time and patience--let her know you love her--she's a maine coon mix, just like my kitty. very sweet and special kitties.

i know it is frustrating waiting for her to come to you, but let her have her way--she will let you when she is ready.

how old is she? have you had her a long time?
if you only just got her, sometimes it takes a little time for a cat to readjust to the now surroundings and people. bond with her the best uyou can--these kitties are very loyal and follow you around like puppies.talk to her--use a special just for kitty soft voice and love her --you are her momms--let her know that and cuddle her and bond with her.
enjoy her--she is beautiful.
