Who is more irritating: Jar Jar Binks or a religious proselytizer?

The religious proselytizer is more annoying. Because to stop Jar Jar Binks' talking you just need to turn off the television.

Jar Jar Binks is more annoying.

But a religious proselytizer is more dangerous.

For example, kids eventually outgrow the notion that the Jerry-Lewis-like antics of Jar Jar are the funniest things out there. Kids eventually stop saying "Mesa bombad Jedi!"

Kids who are exposed to religious proselytizers are not all so lucky. Many of those kids grow up feeling ashamed about themselves because they've learned that they are worthless and not worthy of God's love. They grow up feeling that homosexuals are assaulting them and lash out with violence. They grow up with superstitions that God will provide and so they won't provide for themselves.

Some kids are able to get away from that. Not all of them do.

Jar Jar is annoying, but religious proselytizers are terrifying.
