Religion generally referes to a set of beliefs or doctrines about the world, the universe, mankinds place in the world and their relationship to various gods or a god. It usually involves a population of followers who adhear to the doctrine or belief.
Spirituality refers to a quality that people posses or claim to posses that relates to the non-physical side of existance such as feelings, emotions, intuitions, experiences, memories, and sometimes, the claimed communication and other interaction with 'spiritual beings' such as angels, gods, and other entities.

A Religion is a set of espoused beliefs with a group of followers.

Spirituality is a more esoteric and indefinable quality that is experienced by an individual.

Religion is the doctrine, and set of guidlines of how we should live our life. Stories are told to give us an understanding, and prophecies are wrote to show that it is valid. Spirituality is just being concerned with spiritual things. Everyone has a spirit, so someone that says their spiritual really shows me nothing. Unless they mean that they seek God, by praying, reading the word, and doing whatever they can to get close to him. You can also be spiritual in an evil way, because there are many evil spirits in the world. Someone that says they are spiritual but not religious means they believe in spirits and God, but they don't believe what God reveals about himself through scripture.

In my opinion, religion is something that is organized like a church. Spirituality is more like a direct relationship with God. And that is what I have. Except I just call it 'faith.'

Religion is "regular". Let me explain. "Regular" means "by the rules" - from the Latin "regula", which is a "ruler" - a measuring stick.

Spirituality, unfortunately, can mean "anything you want it to mean" - good or bad. "Spirits" come in may flavours. Good. And bad. I've seen both.

I opt for religion. God gave us rules.

"Spirituality" can mean anything. Like a city without stoplights, it can become chaos.

Religion is lead by man, spirituality is lead by an unseen force.

I think it's the same different between school and learning....
One has rules, structure, hiarchy....the other is more open, personally driven, free flowing....
The goal is the same, the paths are different....
