In my country, cats are considered a deliquesce. Cats are considerd some of the best meat you can eat. Americans don't know what good food is. Young cats have the most tender meat. Dont I have a right to eat cats while staying in the states. It is part of my culture....people here are so intolerant and quick to judge others, yet you slaughter cows and chickens everyday. It makes no sense.

Dude, you eat all the cats you want. I have a few stray cats that would make for a tasty meal.

Actually, cat meat is reputed to be rather poor meat. Think about it: cats are carnivores, which makes for tough, stringy and bland meat. Cats are thin, strong and powerful, which also makes for tough and stringy meat.

While I agree that an animal is an animal, and eating a cat is no different from eating a chicken, the fact remains that chicken and cow meat is HEALTHIER and better because it is herbivore meat.

Also, if you're in the United States, or any other country for that matter, you should be respect the customs of the country you are in, not trying to enforce your own customs. If you want to keep your own customs, then you should go back to your country.

This is why there are so many problems with immigration. If I went to India I wouldn't go around telling everyone "ew, don't eat that, eat a cow! cow meat is delicious! don't eat a goat, ew!"

it is difficult to mingle differing cultures--however, i would say thast if you are residing in and trying to become a member of a society other than the one from which you came, i would recommend trying to at least blend in with the cvulture into which you find yourself attempting to join.
or.....when in rome, do as the romans do.......
if you come from a culture in which it is ok to kill your spouse and try to live in a culture wherein that event is forbidden and even punished, would you perform the same act??? despite the punishment?????

is there a meat you could substitute for catmeat while you reside in this culture?????

It's just how our culture works.

Much like in other countries, cows and pigs are worshipped and not eaten, cats and dogs are here.

I know it is unusual that we favour one animal over the other, but that's how culture works.

You are probably right , what a taboo subject . Whilst the little cat is so nice to eat, Is it right that the big cats (puma, cougar, etc) think you are tasty too. Is That Right?.

Cows and chickens taste better. I know. I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants.

Also, cats make great pets. I have 3 of them.

yes, cats should be pets. I have one, and would never consider eating one. we don't serve cats in the US. If you like eating them so much that you can't stand it here, go back to where u came from.
