I have noticed that sometimes I sweat more than normal at night after a physical activity in the evening, like playing ice hockey or lifting weights. The intensity of my nighttime sweating does not seem to relate to the amount of water I drank during the day. I would also slow down on my bodily processes after a while (take a shower, cool off, relax). Still, several hours later while sleeping, I sweat so much.

Could someone please explain the main points on sweating? And also answer these questions:
- Do I sweat less when I have lost weight due to athletic activities?
- Do I sweat less when I drink less?
- Is sweating much a good thing for my body?
- Does it mean I have good chemical balance/interchange?
- Should I aim to sweat more?

Thank you all for your help!!!

When you are dehydrated you tend to sweat more... are you drinking the same amount of liquids on the days that you sweat a lot or a little?
1. Yes, because losing weight means using/carrying around less energy, less weight which uses up energy, and so you don't have to work as hard and thus less sweat
2. Yes

The more you drink the more you "CAN" sweat.
The more you exert your body the more the metabolism increases and thus body temperature.
Increased body temperature requires cooling to prevent overheating.
Cooling requires sweating.
Sweating requires water.
Lost weight you will sweat less, drink less sweat less turn pale and pass out, Sweat is a good thing for the body (Natural), good chemical exchange, LAST; you aim to sweat and drink water moderately throughout your exercise to replace what you sweat which is not as much as it looks.
Example; say we going to boil water for 8 hours. At, some point in the boiling process we will not have any water as it all steam away. If, we wait too long to add water and add too much the boiling will stop until it reheat. If, we add small amounts of water say every 15-30 minutes we can keep the water boiling and maintain our water level. I hope this makes sense.
