JPGs are image files, whereas DOC files are layout files from a word processor, so they're not directly interchangeable. What you can do is create a DOC file (using MS Word, for example) and import JPGs using the menu option: Insert > Picture > From File. This is a really cumbersome way to share photos with someone though, so unless you plan to add text and publish the photos as some kind of article/story, I wouldn't recommend it.

You can't very easily. JPEG files are images, not text. You need a program that can run optical character recognition on the image. Even then, you're going to lose all formatting.

Select the image you want in Word, the COPY it (hit Control-C) and then PASTE it into a paint program and save the image to disk. If your paint program will not allow you to save it as a .JPG file, then you need to find a paint program that supports JPG (Ultimate Paint is a nice paint program) or download an image converter program that will let you convert it to any image type you desire.

Hello,
Thats actually pretty straight forwards, open the word document and have it on screen including the images. See on your keyboard "top right" the Print Screen key. Press this just once. (this saves or copies the screen image to memory or the clipboard).
Next from the windows, start button, goto start menu, on start menu goto programs & on programs menu see "accessories", next open the accessories menu, see Paint (MS Paint comes with windows, its an imaging program).
Next open/load paint, now from the menu in paint, select the edit menu, on the edit menu you should see the "paste" option.
Select paste, the screen image will now be pasted into paint, next from the file menu, you can select "save as", there is a small drop down combo box for file types (before you actually save the file). Drop the file types listing down, scroll down until you see JPG or JPEG you should be able to save the file as a JPG or JPEG. Now save your file and your done.
**You might have to play around abit with sizing but this should do the required job.

This may be a bit unorthodox, but it'll also work if the other suggestions don't.
Take a screen shot of the image in your Word document by pressing PrtScn (Print Screen key).
Open MS Paint, Edit > Paste. Crop as necessary.
Save as > choose .jpg format.

Have you tried changing the file extension -works with some files - but try it on a copy rather than the original!
