We all know how the stereotype in here goes. My way is the right way and everyone else is wrong. Well, let's see if we can look past our prejudices and have a tiny test.

Below are four people I know. One Catholic, one Methodist, one follower of the Norse tradition, and one Pagan with no chosen path. These are not nice examples, and that is done on purpose. Can you tell who is who? I"m curious as to how you'd judge them.

A. This girl mutters a blessing when passing a car that displays religious items not of her religion.

B. This guy stole $1200 or more from his fiance in two weeks without feeling guilty about it, not even when caught.

C. This girl cheated on all her lovers and then smeared their names when they broke up with her.

D. This guy cheated (yes another one) on his girlfriend and used his fathers cancer as a reason to break up, so he could see the other girl until she left.

So, why do you think each is of what religion?

I deliberatly chose bad examples. How far would it be to put shining examples of Christians against bad examples of pagans, or visa versa. Yes, they are all bad examples of people not following their religion.

these are really wild guesses, but I'll give it a shot in the dark:

A. Methodist. just because it doesn't seem like something the other 3 would do.
B. Catholic. Obviously wouldn't be a very good one.
C. Pagan with no chosen path. Don't know why.
D. Norse tradition. Again, no idea why.

I have no bias against any of these people. I just am taking wild guesses, and it could be any of them. They are obviously not good representatives of their faith, and the faiths should not be judged on these actions.

There is no way of knowing based on the info you gave us. Any one of A, B, C, or D could have been done by a Catholic, a Methodist, a follower of Asatru (Norse religion), or a Pagan. I prefer not to stereotype people.

They all could be of any religion. Just because many people in a particular religion are not able to follow their beliefs, doesn't make the religion itself bad. This is the problem that many have, they judge the religion by the worst adherents. All religions, even atheism, has good people and bad people who belong to them. There are lies and deceit in all groups. But, truth is truth and there is no escaping this. People can judge fact by those that preach it, but when it is all said and done, fact and truth will remain untarnished by the follies of men.

What's the point? Every individual has a right to make bad decisions from a position of weakness or good decisions from a position of strength. It is their own business and not mine to judge anyone. Live and let live. They have a right to privacy. A right to deal with their behavior with God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23). Their 'religious' background is between them and God.
