I painted a room and am getting bubbles in my last coat of paint....

The walls are plaster, I waited 24 hours after patching, 6 hours after priming and then 24 after the first coat..

used high quality primer and paint...which was well mixed

any ideas as to why this is happening?

It often appears that you have "bubbles" in your coat of paint, but if they are small, they usually disapate when drying. You don't say if you used a brush or a roller, but If they look troublesome to you, try using a shorter, finer roller pad and roll your last coat on with this. A plusher, thicker roller tends to roll on leaving larger bubbles. Also, apply your last coat of paint thinner. Rolling it on too thick a layer will also create larger bubbles.
Good luck withyour final coat !

I think the paint might be too thin... thicken it up a bit and/or use a brush that has finer bristles
