I was wondering, are these dogs hard to house break? Do they have many "accidents"?

I found both my Cavaliers difficult to housebreak. I've often said that there was a missing brain cell when it came to telling me that they needed to "take care of business." Today, we have a pet door, so there are no issues, but before having those, training them to let me know when they need to go out was a nightmare. Having said that, though, I wouldn't have given up one of my dogs for one second. Perhaps what cells didn't get relative to housebreaking, were replaced with an overabundance of "loving" cells. They are truly the most affectionate dogs I've ever known.

I have a King Charles. It took him a few months to really understand the place to go gto the bathroom. He is strictly an inside dog so he uses a pad in the house. He is 5 months old now and only has an accident if there is something blocking his way to his pad. VERY smart dogs with tons of energy.

They are as easy to house train as other dogs. If you go about it using the right methods and are very consistent, they'll do just fine. And any young puppy, regardless of breed, will have accidents because they have no more bladder control than a baby.

I have heard they are fantastic dogs and easy to train.
