Yes. I've been to all the places you mention with the exception of Tunceli and Igdir. The east of Turkey is beautiful, historic, amazing, awe inspiring etc etc. Also the food is delicious!

I'm a single British woman and have never had any problems when travelling in these areas. I first travelled there in 1988 and have been back on two other occasions. I want to go again. Another place I recommend is Mardin.

David H is wrong Turkey is not so risky to visit. You see many people visited Turkey in Yahoo Answers and if you read their posts you see how positive they are and how happy to visit Turkey.

And for the question, I'm Turkish living in Adana and I admit that I haven't visited the eastern part of Turkey. I always traveled to western or middle Anatolian cities but never visited Diyarbakir or Sanliurfa or Antep. I know those cities are also very beautiful, I want to visit some day.

If you're going to visit Turkey you should add those cities to your list.
