I am a 26 year old, relatively healthy non-smoker who has been sick with various throat, sinus, and upper respiratory issues for nearly three months straight.
In late September, I received antibiotics for strep and almost immediately came down with a cold when the pain in my tonsils were gone. Approximately two weeks later I was prescribed another course of antibiotics for a sinus infection that caused my eyes to swell shut. About two days after those symptoms subsided I had a month-long bout of laryngitis, and an ENT diagnosed soft nodules (blisters) on my vocal cords. I was allowed to return to work after a week of vocal rest and exactly one week after my medical release I had to leave again with strep throat. I'm now on Augmentin for the strep and I woke up last night with a horrible cold again.
I am going crazy trying to figure out why and how I have managed to get this sick! Any advice/ideas/treatments are appreciated.

Up your vitamin C intake to at least 1000mg per day.

You may have allergies or an immune disorder. There is obviously something going on beyond just the sinus trouble and colds.
If your current doctor is only treating the symptoms with antibiotics, you need to find another doctor that will actually look further into the situation. Good luck!

sounds like you've been overmedicated and your immune system is "wiped out" BUT the underlying cause may be allergies.
You need to boost your immune system by eating healthy, take a good multivitamin(no additives or presevatives or dyes), additional vit C suuplement, acidophilous supplement to get your normal flora back after all the antibiotics and lots of sleep.
Allergies can be something as simple as dirty filters on the heat/ac vent system, pet dander, etc. see if you might be able to figure it out by elimination.

In my opinion antibiothics made your imunity system do not work properly. Usually they made the number of leococytes decrease.
Go to the doctor and explain your problem.
To help the doctor in the diagnosis, say him all medicines you use.
Take care also to do not fall into depression and avoid stress. It also make the body produce few leucocytes than normal.

Agree with Chica. Gargle with hot very salty water with a cap ful of hydrogen peroxide. Take vitamins, echinacea, saw palmetto may help. Ever thought about homeopathic alternatives?
feel better!

Some people like us seem to be sick more than others. I learnt ot go with the "flow" other words when you feel well do what you need to, when your sick pull the covers over your headan go to sleep.

I really cannot answer that because I am not a doctor. But logic would tell me if your doctor hasn't figured out the answer or is not doing anything to figure it out, then you need to switch doctors. Maybe even consider seeing a natural medicine doctor.

Try taking Centrum vitamins. I read in many places that viruses are caused by stress. Start a relaxing hobby. I hope this helps!
