Stop contact. No need to really stay friendly unless kids involved. If I stay friendly with an ex, I just land up back in bed with them. Not good for either persons mind.

If it's a minor thing, I'd rather suggest you try to sort it out with her first. Talking things out is positive.

if you do not have children then cutting off all contact is best.
