I have two job choices in same company, one is in Toronto, and the other is in Montreal. (I’m actually in London, ON) Where is easier and better to leave? And is the neighborhood thing matters a lot there?

People in Toronto are NOT cold. It's too bad that person had a bad expierence and decided to take it out on the millions of people in the city.
I have lived in Toronto and visited Montreal. I am partial to Toronto. I think Montreal is a fine place but it can not compete with Toronto. (I won't resort to putting them down however.)
Our public transit is easy to use and can take you anywhere in the GTA for little money.
You can't buy beer or wine in the grocery store but we have stores for those. (as you already know we aren't that far away from you!)
The cost of rent may be higher but it is worth it. The city has so much to see and do. We are the most culturally diverse city in Canada. (you can have food from almost anywhere in the world right in our city--depending on the neighbourhood)
There are many clubs, bars, and the theatre. Anything you may need is available at any time you may need it.--that is an important factor to me.
I am sure you will be happy in whichever city you choose. If possible it would be beneficial to visit each place and spend alittle time there before deciding.

Go for Toronto.
It would make logical sense to take the offer in Toronto. Toronto is closer to London, and you are more familiar with this area of Ontario. Montreal, Quebec is like another country ... seriously. When I visited, most of the people I met did speak English, but when the locals talk to each other they will speak French and most things like street signs and billboards will be in French. The moment you enter Quebec from Ontario, it all goes French. Quebec is NOT a bilingual province. It is a French province, so I think you would have to be fluent in French.
That other girl from Montreal called people from Toronto cold. Well that is a false statement. I find people more "cold" in Quebec, since many of them are stuck up about the whole English and French thing.
Toronto is where all the action is. It's basically the New York City of Canada, and if you want to visit London you are not too far away ... not as far as Montreal. There are also lot's of affordable areas in Toronto. Mississauga and Oakville are basically big suburbs of Toronto and there is lot's of new homes being built there.
Hopefully this helps, and hopefully you will move to Toronto :-)

I live in Montreal and I wouldn't have it any other way, but I assume that a person who lives in Toronto would say the same thing. Just so you know, I moved from Europe to Montreal 20 years ago.
Here are a few things you should know:
- Cost of living is cheaper in Montreal
- Gas is more expensive then in Ontario
- You can buy beer and wine at almost any grocery store
- Quebec is a bilingual province. If you stick more to the west of the Montreal or downtown, you are most likely to run into people who speak both english and french. The more you go east, the less English speaking people you will find
- I've been to Toronto MANY times and one thing that always bothered me is how cold the people are. I find that Montrealers are friendlier.
- Wheather you rent or you decide to buy a house, just like anywhere else, the closer you are to the down town, the more expensive it is. However, you will notice that it is a LOT cheaper then Toronto.
- Road signes are all in French but are very similar to the English ones, so you should not have a problem.
- Life is just no as complicated in Montreal and when it comes down to moving around wheather by Bus/subway or by car, it is a lot simpler then Toronto.
Go with your gut feeling.

Take Toronto. Montreal I find the drivers haven't learned to turn right on a red light like the rest of the world, If you like character (another word for old) housing they have a lot of those as the affordable housing Montrealers are talking about, anything modern, new, nice are expensive like any major city, the 50 is just as bad as the 401,gas is more expensive, income tax time you'll end up paying more, don't go to a hospital if you get sick stay on the Ontario side. at Least in Toronto you can get back to visit any friends/fanmily in London quicker tahn coming from Montreal.

Well I do not live in either city ... or Canada for that matter, but I have a cousin who lives in Toronto and I have visited a couple times and I think Toronto is great! There is so much nightlife, and attractions and is very beautiful. I can't say much about Montreal since I have never visited, but I would assume that you would need to know french since it is in the french province of Quebec.
