I dated this guy for two years and at the beginning of the relationship he did all kind of different things, the relationship was full of drama in and out for at least 4 months straight. we seperated for awhile, then got back together and he was a changed person there was no more flirting with other gurls, talking to other females or nothing its was perfect. Then he got involved with this situation and for like 3 months i dindn't matter. so i began to talk to an old childhood friend of mine, we went on a date and he found out about got mad and things havent been the same since. He tired to work out things at first but I refused and now that im willing to and he says he is to(but hes really not) im upset about the situation. If i forgave him on all the things he did why cant he forgive me? Is it just a guy thing that they do, because i've heard that guys are more sentivtive with there feelings when it comes to a person they really love?

Women have bigger, more open hearts. We forgive those that we love, because we love them. Men, well, their ego gets hurt, and they have to sulk and lick their wounds. It's not sensitivity - it's strictly testosterone. Ignore him, and let him come running when he's decided to stop being a baby. Guys rarely own what they do when they screw up - it's always someone elses fault.

Hmm. He is mad about you going on a date w/ an old friend? You wouldnt have to be going on dates if he was there to support you & get you the attention&love you need & deserve as a girl. I think that he is crazy for not forgiving you but it might be a good thing. Maybe you two should be away from each other for a little while & possible meet other people. Love is tough, but don't let any man treat you wrong or cheat on you or make you think you don't deserve better.

It's the 'caring nurturer' portion of the human condition that girls predominate and so many guys lack.
The arrogance of the 'hunter gatherer' mentality engrained into xy genotypes since the ice age makes for less than warm and fuzzy episodes of stopping blame ... except in cases where "makeup sex" is involved (of course).
It's probably just some mysterious combination of pride and testosterone overload manifest as that banal character flaw known as 'grudge'.
Regretfully, my forgiveness is not what it should be, either.

He is holding you to a double standard.
The relationship has been Drama from the start some people cause drama because it makes them feel better about themselves when they know others are hurting. This is also a early sign of a controlling personality sort of beating you into your rank, for lack of a better example.
Loose him

Wake up and smell the double standards!! Just let him go. Pathetic, immature, self obsessed coward. Afraid of putting in a little effort to try and sort a relationship out. Just dump him and find someone more deserving.

think about it what would you have done in his shoes? I would have done as he did. But there would have been no question of working it out because it would have been over. It isn't a question of forgiveness it is a question of trust and if u lose that then the relation ship is on a down hill slide to disaster

Naw, guys are buttheads. They still have this primitive thing that a woman is theirs forever, no matter what. They will always get mad and defensive about childhood friends and co-workers. If he can't accept it, leave.

No difference whether you are a girl or a boy. Everybody feels so unhappy. It only seems to you. Some of them are so offended, that they revenge both the whole life. I could never forgive my husband. never. and never will. I know it's bad. but i can't help....Hugs. Irene
