Make today the first day of not smoking anymore. Every time you suck the smoke in, 100's of chemicals are in your body. This can cause your cells to change. Would you breathe in something that had a skull and an x through it. It will be hard. The first time you think about quiting makes you closer to being able to do it. Borrow money from a friend at work to buy a patch instead from any drug store. Read the directions. More people can quit with a plan an help. See if your friend can share their lunch with you or maybe borrow lunch money today only. Pay your friend back tomorrow and maybe you can help them out some time. Good Luck and I am praying for you right now to get the help you need.

I would probably borrow from a co-worker some lunch money till 2moro. When a cigarrette craving would hit I changed my routine. Instead of coffee I had tea - etcc and concentrated harder on my tasks. I then kept cigarettes in my desk, my car, my work-shop and home. But I kept putting off having one for about five years. Then when I tried one - it was horrible and haven't had one since - that was 30 years ago. But I'm no quitter - that's a weakness character flaw! and probably owe my survival to this date to that decision. Hope it works for you.

Immerse yourself so deeply in your work that you don't even have time to think about having a cigarette! Before you know it, it'll be time to go home and you can smoke till your heart's content! Oh, and you might want to chew gum, eat candy or drink lots of water.

Go home sick.
Bum cigarettes off other people at the smoking area
Bum some gum
Go sell plasma on your lunch break?

Bum a few from someone at work, and make arrangements to go out to eat with someone from lunch. Tell them that if they buy you lunch this time you'll get them next time. Then actually do it within a week.

Wear a rubber band around your wrist and snap it when you get the urge to smoke! See if that helps.............

You co-workers will probably be ready to strangle you by the end of the day, if you are anything like my husband when he used to smoke and ran out of cigarettes! LOL

Good luck today,...and hang in there!

Every time you feel like taking a cigarette start munching on a piece of celery. There're few calories in it, and it will take your mind away from the smoking.

Just borrow a cigg off somebody, but I hate doing that because not a lotta people smoke the ones that I smoke. I always keep a back up pack in my car, in case i forget them at home.

You could snag a half smoked discarded one out of the ash tray. Maybe then quitting wouldn't seem like such a bad idea.
