Just do a large variety of exercises, your body easily addapts to exercises, so what you do one day might not be as effective 3 days later.

Did you know it will take around 4-8 weeks for you to see real results?

Please please PLEASE do not try to take a diet pill when you exercise. There is no magic pill, all they do is hurt your body even more.

If you drink soda, stop. Drink 8 cups of water a day, and if you want to burn calories, drink cold water. You heard me, cold water. Your body actually burns calories as it warms up the water to use it in the body.

Stop eating candy and try eating sweet apples as snacks instead.

Don't give in to fad diets. Think about it. All our bodies are different. We all have our own ideal weight. We come from different areas, all around. Our bodies have different needs than others. I might need 10 glasses of water to function well, while you might only need 8. Why use a diet that is the same for everyone, when we are all different?

Oh, and if you drink a lot of soda and candy right now, drinking 8-10 cups of water for the next 2 weeks will help you drop around 5-10 pounds, depending on how much soda you drink.

I disagree about the Food Pyramid being "successful". Americans are the most obese country in the world.

The food pyramid is the result of hard lobbying by Fortune 100 companies like General Mills and Kraft, not to mention sugar and wheat interests.

Even goths aren't immune from the calories in vs. energy out weight loss equation.

If you're only a few pounds overweight then what you're already doing is working, just cut a bit more. Skip snacks & junk food. Pass on soda and pick water or diet drinks instead.

Less snack foods especially high calorie items like frozen burritos, cup of noodles or mini pizzas. Cut back on fast food.

Good for running! It's good for your complexion, although I know 'white' is preferred. ;) Sorry for the tease. One of my boys is goth and I tease him too.

There are faster diets, but they cost $$ and serious dedication. Kimkins.com is one.

Read my answer to your previous question. Also I didn't mention cheese, I snacked on cheese cubes and string cheese. Drink lots of water, at least 8 glasses a day. You are already exercising so eating natural foods will help cut calories a lot. You can eat cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, any veggie you like. No one ever got fat because they over indulged on broccoli. :D Keep your head up, I'm positive you will get where you want to be by the end of the school year. Don't be hard on yourself. It takes time, but the weight will come off and you will look and feel better.

The whining women kinda suck, but Weight Watchers did wonders for me- I lost 60 pounds in about 8 months.

As far as eating plans- eat healthily- and I know that it's hard to do. Find a fruit and veggie you like and eat those as snacks. Frozen grapes are good. Try to eat more things like chicken breasts w/out skin, more vegetables, salad, all that good stuff. Or try the frozen meals-- lean cuisine, lean pockets, Smart ones, etc.

Best of luck with your diet and the running!

Consult a physician - the most succesful weight loss programs are under the care of a doctor. And btw, good for you! Don't "go on a diet" change the way you eat, what you eat, and when you eat" - see the doctor and he or she will tell you similar information.
