My guess is that she doesn't even realize what she's doing. You can do one of a couple of things:
1) Say, "You know what, I'm trying to teach my kids to stay in the bathroom with those q-tips. If they see you it will be really hard for me to get them to do it - would you mind terribly keeping the q-tips in the bathroom?" Then smile and wait for her response. She'll probably
2) While she's talking, continue the conversation while walking to the bathroom. She'll follow. Stock the TP or something. Then, end the conversation and say, "Well, whenever you're done getting ready in here I'll put some coffee on and we can catch up." Then smile and go back to the kitchen. She'll probably get the hint, hopefully with very little offense taken.

You have every right to tactfully say "Would you mind swabbing your ears in the bathroom for some reason it has always bothered me to mix personal hygiene in the kitchen." Then just explain its nothing against her but its your personal preference. Make it a you issue. This way you don't have to worry about hurting her feelings. Even though I agree with you that's 100% nasty!

It is never bad manners to tell someone you would rather they not contaminate your food. If she is not concerned for the fact that, in addition to that Q-Tip, she's probably dripping hair on things, then you just need to say something like, "Not now; I'm cooking," as if she hadn't noticed, and OBVIOUSLY she would not want to contaminate the food.

I would DEFINITELY tell her !! You don't have to say it in a rude way...try to soften it a bit so she doesn't get offended, like maybe make a joke out of it and hope she gets the hint. I can understand your pain, as I used to be a court reporter and there was one lawyer who used to sit at the table across from me clipping his nails!!!! It was all I could do not to gag!

ewwwwwwwwwwww that is nasty. Inform her the next time she starts prying into body cavities with any type of utensil you will feel the need to chase her out with a hand blender. That is the worst of manners.

What kind of a bog was your friend raised on? Nobody wants to see her ear crud. Tell her it bothers you and if she has any respect for you she will confine it to the bathroom or a private moment.

No....it's not rude.
Talk with her and tell that what she does mortifies you.
If pple talk sincerelly and without offences, things can be solved in a friendly way.
May be she has something that bothers her from you too. Ask her that.
Good luck

I would just stare at her the next time she does it...when she says "what?" say I'm cooking here and the q-tip thing kinda grosses me out.
