Because the term "Christianity" has lost its meaning. People call themselves Christians without really knowing what it means. Most Christians today are completely bogus. Next time you see a Christian see if they even know or believe in basic teachings of Christ:
- Love for all, even our enemies
- judgement for none, let God be the judge
- peace with all people, no war
- selflessness, not looking out for number 1
- service, being a "doormat" for others
These, and many other teachings, are straight from the New Testament. If people don't follow the "manual" for being a Christian, they are simply not.
Remember, the very fact that so much of Christianity is false proves that real Christianity exists. By seeing a fake Rolex, you know the real thing is out there. If Christianity wasn't worth it, you wouldn't have fake Christianity. You never see a fake Casio...

It is very simple larry, Manypeople claim to be "Chrisitans", and they assume because they show up to a churc building every sunday morning that makes tem a christian,. The BIble says that Just because someone names the name of Christ, dosent mean there a christians, they are the tares among the wheat. The ones who are leaving are Just the tares, and were seeing an increase in the tares due to the lack of the Gospel. One becomes a true Chrisitan when he looks into the light of the Law (ten Commandments) and sees the utter severuty of his sins, then Repents (turns from sin and places his faith and trust in jesus and becomes "Born of th spirit". The ones who truly have seen there sin as by the Law, and repent will never fall away, they havent trusted in their church or the pastor, they have trusted in the living God. What ca you do? get your own heart right with God, and start spreading the Gospel to the Lost. the Formula is Law to the proud, grace to the Humble.

The bible is supposed to be the book that is sent by God to be the book people live by. Send me your email address and I will send you the 101 contraditions in the bible.
Churchs are so corrupt these days and since the dawn of the religion... its hard to keep the faith. I'm surprised its kept on this long.
Religions should not be based on these far fetched parables and stories that no one can prove. If a religion is supposed to be a way of life- then there should not be so many shrouds of mystery. It should be plain and straightword and easy to follow.
Seriously though- Alarm bells should be going off about the religion when the people IN it can't even agree on interpretation. You have such INFIGHTING ... so many different groups who believe different things and dont like the other groups.... No wonder people are not only LEAVING- but leaving scratching their heads.

there's no longer any hatred between actual Christians. actual Christians are purely searching to inform the actuality and could demonstrate compassion because non - believers are constructive through the lies of the area. Because some canot stand the truth. They put to many things onh their behalf. And that is true a lot of people are leaving but right now is not the time to be leaving! Christ is coming sooner than expected. He might even come tomorrow we may never know!

pastors and church elders are not in a hurry to increase their membership.the church has become a members only org. and no one really cares.young people r not bothered as religion is boring. they only need god when they r in trouble.intelligent people recognizes god, the lesser low intelligence thinks they are cleverer n feels that they know best. they r so wallowed in their existence to think bout god.. dont worry god gives mankind a chance n the unbelievers shall be weeded out

Good question...although I still wonder about your earnestness.
A Christian in the truist sense of the word means "little Christ". Those who followed Jesus were first called "Christians" at Antioch, in Asia. The word was actually used to make fun of them.
A saved Christian...is someone who places their hope of salvation on Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of humanity, and who rose again.
People are not born Christian, they become a Christian when they decide to receive Jesus as their savior.

Lord God,
I pray for "Larry." I thank you that he is here and that he is asking questions. I pray that You will begin drawing him unto yourself.
I pray that the scriptures that he has read will keep ring in is ears. I pray for his salvation that that he will come to know You in a personal way as his Lord and Savior.
