Listerine is not an antibiotic - it's the alcohol in it that kills the germs in your mouth. Using it to kill germs is similar to drinking Lysol - they both kill germs, but that's not how they're supposed to be used. Listerine is not a medication, it just freshens your breath. Lysol is not an antibiotic just because it kills bacteria - it makes your counters clean. Medication is prescribed by a doctor or a pharmacist.

Listerine is not meant to be swallowed - just swished around in your mouth and then spat out. It's not toxic, otherwise it wouldn't be advised to use it at all, but you're really not supposed to ingest more than is left in your mouth after spitting it out. It's not designed for people to be able to drink a glass full. I'm not sure what kind of harm this may have caused your son, but I would definitely advise that you call Poison Control or go visit your pediatrician as soon as possible.

Listerine is made for a gargle and not meant to be ingested. You should call POISON CONTROL there should be a 1-800 no in the phone book or call 911. People can die from alcohol poisoning and it would not take much for an infant. Call the doctor! Call someone NOW!!!!
Keep him upright so he does not drown in his own vomit.

listerine has alcohol in it, that is why he appears drunk because he is drunk. Listerine is an antiseptic, not an antibiotic. Take the kid to a doctor.

I really hope your not serious. Listerine contains alcohol and is not meant to be ingested. Its a mouth wash to rinse with and spit out. If you really gave your son a glass full to swallow call poison control.

It kills germs in your mouth. If your serious, you need to get you child to the doctor or ER ASAP. Alcohol poisoning is very serious and can cause death...especially in an infant.
