Eat mini-meals. Eat small meals at regular intervals, ideally every two to four hours. Eating smaller amounts of food more frequently will often stop cravings.
Eat protein and a little fat. Try to include some protein and small amounts of fat in each of your meals. Often women try so hard to limit fat that we don't get ENOUGH protein or fat -- which in itself can cause hunger and possibly cravings. Protein foods include dairy products such as skim milk and non-fat yogurt as well as beef, chicken, fish, peanut butter, eggs, legumes and tofu. You could try:
half a turkey sandwich with an apple;
a small container of yogurt with whole grain crackers;
one to two ounces of cheese with a piece of fruit.
All contain protein and some fat, as well as carbohydrates.
Try to relax. Stress can often cause carbohydrate cravings. If you feel you're under stress, try a stress-management course or relaxation exercises.
Exercise. Lack of exercise can contribute to stress, so make sure you get regular exercise at least every other day.
Don't skip meals or restrict calories. Restricting calories too far can cause hunger, which we can interpret as cravings. Allow yourself to eat when you are hungry. Avoid skipping meals. Make sure you are eating at least 1,600 calories per day.
Get some rest. Make sure you get enough sleep. If you're so busy that you don't have time to sleep, try to rearrange your schedule. If you have enough hours of sleep but don't feel it is quality rest, talk to your physician. It could be stress, lack of exercise or a medical reason. People who are chronically tired often overeat carbohydrates.
Eat carbohydrates wisely. Make sure the carbohydrates you do eat are nutritious ones! Fruits, vegetables and whole grains contain essential vitamins and minerals as well as carbohydrates. These are preferable to candy and nutrient-poor sweets.
Go easy on caffeine. If you drink more than two cups of coffee or two cans of soda each day, try to cut back. Caffeine seems to make cravings worse.

I understand what you are going through, my daughter has the same problem, she is a little bit goth and overweight. Last January I had to change my diet and cut out sodium and caffeine, I lost 35 pounds in 6 months. So my daughter is now doing that (as closely as she can) and is starting to lose weight as well. I switched to eating all fresh fruits and veggies, for snacks I ate dried fruits, lots of pre-made salad mix, no dressing, tuna and cottage cheese, peanut butter, the occasional small steak, hamburger patty or chicken breast. I cut out bread due to the salt content and also had to cut out soup because the sodium is so high. But, sodium is not an issue for you, so if want you can eat all types of soup, they are generally healthy and very low calorie and always filling. If you have the time, you can go for 30 minute walks as well, that will help tone your body, give you a cardio workout and help burn some of the calories.
If you start now by the end of this school year you should be where you want to be. Remember, don't starve yourself, if you're hungry eat. I can eat a whole bag of pre-made salad, it's only about 100 calories and then I'm stuffed.
I hope this works out for you and that the special guy notices you.

I'll assume for the moment you really are overweight, and aren't just screwed in the head.
The school year ends in what, june? We're talking 7 months. You do NOT need a quick diet. You need to eat a healthy diet and exercise. There's no reason you can't drop 20-40 lb in that amount of time in a proper way that won't bounce back on you. The more overweight you are, the more you could be at the high end of that weight loss.
You need to come up with a reasonable, lifelong plan, and stick with it. Healthy, regular meals. Balanced food groups. Cut 'garbage' to being _close_ to nothing. Keep track of what you eat for a while - everything. If your weight isn't moving, talk to a nutritionist, doctor, gym teacher, whatever. Do some vigourous exercise for 30+ minutes at least 3 times a week, preferably more. Keep in mind this means vigorous for _you_. To lose weight, you want to elevate your heart rate to a target zone. If you weight 240 lb, brisk walking might be enough for your heart rate to get up. Its not the speed you are moving, but the amount you are exerting yourself that matters.
Finally, I think goths are hot - I married one! And if your weight isn't exactly where you want it, that's what corset's are made for :)

Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water...after that you will lose an average of 2 - 3 lbs per week
Meal suggestions:
piece of fruit
string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
tuna/turkey/ham sandwich (lettuce, tomatoe optional)
soup
raw veggies
boiled eggs
popcorn
Always eat a good dinner...meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
Low calorie sweets...ginger snaps, fig bars, 100% juice popsicles
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Never eat before going to bed.
Cardio exercise is great, but most people don't continue for an extended period, do "daily" simple exercise like walking/hiking, biking and swimming which are low impact, play games like basketball, baseball, or volleyball, they will help to lose weight, tone your body, make new friends and you'll have fun doing it.

You need to do what's right for you. Obviously for your health a good diet with exercise would be your best option for the rest of your life. this requires a lifestyle change as I'm sure you don't want to lose the weight just to have it come back. If he doesn't like you for who YOU are, do you really want him if you have to jump through hoops to get him?
Find an exercise program you enjoy and stick to it, but do it for yourself. When you feel good about yourself it will show in your attitude and then you'll have to beat the boys off with a stick.

There's really no "quick fix".
It depends how much you weigh now and your height.
But, to lose weight, simply figure out how many calories you are consuming (write down everything you eat--and you can use mypyramidtracker.gov to put in your age/height/weight/gender, and put in your foods you ate and how much you exercise (even housework and walking to class and driving can count as burning calories activity), and how many calories you are burning. Once you see this, you need to burn 3500 more calories than you consume--if you cut 500 cals per day and or exercise more, you'll lose about 1 lb per week.
