At the start of the Christian era, the nations under the Roman empire were given a choice. To reject the evil lifestile of the romans and to embrace the doctrine of peace and love taught by the Gospel.
Which of the two teachings drove the westerners in their colonisation of other countries. Was it the Word of God or the roman's customs.
The answer to this question define the foundation of the western culture: is it built on a lie? the use of christianity to loot and to exploit other people? or the genuine intention of showing God's love for the manking in helping them to live in a way that glorify God.
In other words, the westerners will be judged, punished or rewarded for slandering God's name and His teaching or for acting faithfully towards God.
Now that we are almost at the end of time, can we say that the westerners are good fearing God people(they pretend to be a Christian nation) or can we see that they are only God's scoffers, taunting and insulting Him in whatever they do.

Some Europeans didn't want to live under the king's rule and left for a better life in the new land that was found over here. They didn't leave because of the Romans, Romans didn't exist anymore at the time. And what do you consider the "Christian era"? Christians came to be with Christ's followers after His ascension to Heaven. The apostles were the first Christians.

I do think it was wrong for Europeans to kill Indians for this land. What happened then was man slaughter. We could have be peaceful and made peace with the Indians and tried to live together or divide the land between us. What we did to the Indians was very wrong and unChristian. But you also have to remember that not all settling Europeans were Christians. And some killed Indians in defense. Some Indian tribes were peaceful and some weren't. To kill in defense is okay under law and in Christianity.

Westerners are made up of all religions and cultures. We are the melting pot of the world. It is considered majority Christian because of it's history but today it is full of much more. God will judge us all individually, not as a whole. America has Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Atheists, Wiccas, etc. Land of the free. Freedom to be who you want and worship who you want. That's why so many people from other countries come here to live.

God will not judge me according to what my ancestors did or what my neighbors do. He will judge me on what I do.

There were various types of people groups that came over to America from Europe as early as the 17th century. Most came to America to escape religious persecution while others came to start a new life in a new world devoid of any religious standards and principles. However, most people of that time were indeed religious and had no intention of taking away any land from anyone. Much of the new world was unchartered with no natives claiming it as their property. Most indian tribes lived inland from the eastern coastland and many of the new settlers built colonies on the eastern coastland to avoid resistance. There were certainly rare instances of squirmishes between settlers and indians BUT much of that didn't occur until much later as the new settlers expanded northwestward.

I do believe God will judge all of us, past, present and future for our actions. We are all guilty of wrongdoing in our lives. We are not perfect because we are a fallen people. But I also believe God has blessed this nation. America has sent out more missionaries as a beacon of light in this dark world more than any other country in the history of mankind. There are more charities in the US than any other country in the world. We have given more money to Third World nations than any other country. But, we are rapidly becoming a country no different than any other. God is slowly being removed from our society and many people are turning their backs to Him.

I pray that America changes it's ways.

The same basis that allowed Indigenous tribes to take land from each other all throughout time. The Right of Might. The Mayans were conquered by the Toltecs who were later conquered by The Aztecs. The same basis that allowed tribes of Africans to sell members of other tribes into slavery to the westerners. No society that exists now or that ever has existed is clean of blood on their hands.
