So...regarding the crops and the horoscopes question....

Many of you christians answered with hostility, saying that planting the crops at the right time is not wiccan. But you answered my question exactly how I wanted it....

That is so that you can understand that the traditions of a Wiccans is in no way evil. They are however a bit more observant of the seasons and the moon etc.

Don't you agree that the seasons and moon affects your mood, the tides, the crops, the animals?

The earth is alive! And I praise her!

Sister Steph...I want soooooo badly to answer you, but my better judgement (you see we do not only recite our prayers...we actually *think* about it) ...yes....my better judgement tells me that you are full of hatred.

Anyways...you have not read any of my questions correct!

I have to say that I agree with Sister Steph. Planting crops in their season has absolutely nothing to do with Wicca. Why? Because the majority of Wiccans are, and for most of it's existence have been, urban. I am among a small minority of rural Pagans who have a working farm. I don't raise grains, just herbs, vegetables, and other plants. I understand the planting and reaping cycle.
And since I didn't have a chance to answer your previous question, I'd like to point out a few things. When people first started farming they began to form the beginnings of religion based on agricultural cycles. Each culture since than has formed it's own beliefs and rituals based on that cycle, even Christianity. Each new religion kept what worked in the past, altering things to fit the new beliefs and creating new beliefs. But the agricultural cycle has changed as well, mainly due to our increased understanding of how plants grow, and how to help them grow. Research the history of agriculture. You'll learn a lot.

Seriously, would you stop and think a minute before you go off acting like an idiot. Any culture that planted crops used the seasons (wiccans have not cornered that market) in order to servive. The ancient Jews were not sitting around until some kindly wiccan came up and said "Oh, plant this way". NO, they figured that one out on their own. The Egyptions (whose religion is now concidered pagan, not wiccan) didn't have some celitic woman come down and tell them how to plant. You insult every culture on earth by suggesting that they had to have a witch show them how to plant crops.

And as for horroscopes, that is not a fully wiccan thing either, unless you think that the Chinese sat around until some witch came by and showed them how to make the zodiac

Why don't you learn something and get off your high horse.

If you are stirring the cauldron just for the sake of a reaction -- how are you helping to make things better? Manipulating people who are ignorant and foolish doesn't amount to much of an accomplishment. All that will accomplish in the long term is to offend and irritate people - Any "troll" can do that. Instead why not ask questions that actually are things -you- want to know, perhaps you may learn something.

being a wiccan christians try to make us look evil and such.they have done this since the begining of time.but as far as they are concerned, they do still think that we worship the devil and that we cast evil spells and such.but we know the truth of it all and that's all that matters.you can tell a christian untill you are blue in the face that your religion is not evil and they still wont believe you.they are too dumb and stupid to look up the meaning of wicca and Paganism on the internet.or try finding out different methods of the meaning of it.that is the part there that makes them ignorant!

Not everyone persecutes us. And those that do usually find it easier to persecute us then to try to understand us. It is far easier to detest something you don't understand then to try to learn about it and still not like it. Most people prefer to take the easy way out.

That's exactly why they persecute because they don't understand. Man fears that which he knows not. And yes I agree with the last question.

If you weren't trying to convince the Christians......You make very good points. You are a bit less cool for caring WHAT they think.

They are not living according to the word of God, but of satan. It is the word of God that persecutes non believers and not the one who delievers that word to them. Dont' shoot the messanger.

You are not to place your faith in anything other than the Almighty God Himself, and not on astrology. If you are living your life according to the moon and the tides etc, you are worshipping them and not God. You you revering them as your god.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

To follow them will not secure your place in heaven for all eternity, but it will secure your place in hell with satan.
