He began to go to church right before he got the disease. Is it just too late for him?

Just as long as he has accepted christ as his lord and savior...just as long as he gave his heart to christ

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, and that whosoever BELIEVES in him, shall NOT PERISH, but have EVERLASTING life..."

so dont worry...your father will go to heaven if he has accepted christ...even if he has sinned...we are all born sinners and God knows we arent all perfect...just as long as your dad trusted in his Son Jesus Christ...so if you do the same thing too...you will see your Dad in heaven chillin' with the Angels...and you could join along too...i hope this answers your question...PEACE AND GOD BLESS....

I don't think that your father's disease had something to do with God or Heaven neither he went to the church right before he got it.
I think it's just because he has it. Period. It has nothing to do with church or God or Heaven at all. If it's so then all the people who just began to go to church will have Alzheimer. LOL. I think it's just most people's habit to get close to God when they are in serious troubles or pain, but when they are still happy they don't care about Heaven and God.

Nobody can tell you about anyone's salvation (including their own). Only God knows. It is Christian belief that if he has a sincere relationship with God and directs his life toward union with God, no matter when in life he begins this, that he will do just that -- have union with God, that is. Christian bellief in God means that everyone has the capability to realize their spiritual nature and recognize that it is by this part of the self that should ultimately direct our lives. Also, that unity with God is not only realized in Heaven but is a process that we can begin in life. Only God knows what is truly in your father's heart, but it is not too late. My prayers and sympathy are with you and your family as you go through this.

No it is not too late. Is he saved? Does he have the Holy Spirit? Only God really knows really - that is the deciding factor though - the Holy Spirit. It is the seal (so to speak) for Christians. Talk to him, pray with him - I will be praying too. Blessings.

God can see everything. He knows what he would have chosen. If wasn't saved before he got Alzeheimer's Disease then I don't think so. Unless he can be convinced of the truth in that state before it gets to severe. Although if he was saved before, than the disease will have no impact on his salvation, and he will definelty be going to heaven.

Only God knows your father's heart. It is difficult for us, as humans, to know what is happening in the spirit. All you can do is pray for him and leave the rest up to God.
