I have this slumlord who is so petty about stuff it makes me mad. I am about to move out, but for the last 6 months I have received so much trouble from this prick. I want revenge, but I want to do it in a way that he doesnt know its me. Whats something that I can do to get him back, but without him knowing its me? Also nothing to hurt him, maybe just make him really mad.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe so many people actually gave ideas for this...remove the floorboards?? put boogers on the door knobs??? Just move out and be happy knowing that you never have to deal with your landlord ever again...and proud of yourself for being the bigger and better person for not stooping to your landlord's low, low level. You'll be happier in the long run.

Landlord Revenge

I had a slumlord before and when I moved I left food in the fridge and the fridge door opened and unplugged the fridge so it would smell really bad. I also poured hot water down the floor vents for the heater. They knew it was me of course but there was nothing that they could do because I had lived there for many years and it had changed owners so many times, and when I first rented it they didn't even check credit or ask for your social security number.

Now landlords can and will sue you. I would just leave on good terms, If you want revenge THAT bad, wait till you move, then make some anonymous calls (or give a fake name) to the health dept and say that the building has roaches, rats etc. They always send a letter, atlest here they do, notifying them of the complaint and they also do a inspection to see if the claim is true or not.

I agree with the people who say you get what you give. You are already moving, and that sounds like what needs to happen.

Also, I am a landlord, and I appreciate the property owner's need to maintain the premise. Contrary to many tenants' assumtions (and I am not implying you believe this nor pretending to know any details of your situation), landlords are not all rich people. It can be pretty difficult to break even--especially when tenants don't take care of the place. Remember that the owner probably has a mortgage payment and is obligated to the bank not to let the place deteriorate.

If you are causing disturbances in the area, the landlord might be hearing about it from the police or neighbors. I completely leave alone tenants who pay rent on time and maintain the property. If he is on your case all the time, I would start with rereading your lease requirements and taking an honest look in the mirror. It does not serve his interests pointlessly to harrass you.

If you are on a government subsidized housing program like Section 8, the landlord can get a judgement against you and have you declared ineligible for the program. It isn't worth it for either of you.

What I did once to get revenge on someone was this...

I went to the flee market, yardsale, whatever and try and pick up a whole bunch of keychains. The ones I got, I could write a name and a number on it with the words "Reward if found". I got a whole bunch of old keys and on about a 100 of these keychains I wrote my targets name, phone number, and Reward if found. I went downtown and started tossing keychains in the worst places, in alleys, bars, public bathrooms, on the street, etc.

Less then a week later, calls started coming in. This went on for a couple of weeks, regular like, and then weaned out. I still stay in touch with this person, although he has no idea what happened, and even today, two years after the fact, the odd call still comes in. In the beginning though he was quite pissed.

If there is not any hire or papers signed it is going to defualt landlord/tennet contract. look on your interior of reach regulation enforcement and notice in the event that they could provide you liturature on it. actually because is his lodge he can do regardless of he needs. it could be like him asserting you ought to use his motor vehicle and then he smashes the windshield. What you do is start up taking a itemizing of each and every thing he's doing which you think of is incorrect. If he's doing it to you he's doing it to others extra desirable than likley. See if any criminal costs could be filed or in case you could seek advice from the persons he's screwing over. next Make him fire your GF the ingredient is she has that over his head. Get your issues so as, seek for a clean place, considering there became no contract your no longer to blame for lease. Use what leverage you bought. i'm sorry on your place and need you the final of success. additionally see in case you could tell if he's willfully renting rooms to prostitutes, usually via the hour. in case you may get actual data that often is the final thank you to get him.

Why are people giving ideas to this person? Are we sure the landlord is totally at fault in their dispute? The Key-tossing thing is really mean (though I am impressed by your genius). I wouldn't wish this landlord to get more punishment than he deserves. We might see people asking ideas to avenge their past tenants in the near future.

Not to mention it's never good for your soul to revenge.

Just move out, time will heal and before long, you will be able to laugh about all these.
I wish you peace of mind!

If I were you, I would find out what my rights are as a renter. That could be enough to drive him crazy! When we had those kinds of landlords...we just moved.....the apts. were that great to begin with. It wasdn't worth the hassle.
