crate training can help but there are other ways as well. we just got a 7 week old male puppy and you can tell when he is ready to go. We just pay attention and when it looks like he is about ready to go we scoop him up and take him outside. When he has gone potty we give him lots of praise. So far so good. We have only had one accident, and it was only because no one was paying attention. Good luck

your dog has already become bigger to train. It will be really effective if you train in the smaller days. But still its not very late. Dogs can be easily trained be your commands and all you need to do is practice. It will take some time but dont give up. All you need to have is patience. Now let me tell you how. First decide the place where your dog needs to potty like bathroom. After that whenever it has done the potty elsewhere just raise your voice high and carry your dog to the bathroom and again say it loud . Make a code word for potty which sounds short and powerful. and use that word and shout at it.Never harm it for doing that. Instead raise your volume and say that word again and again. she will obey after few days.. Even i had the same problem with my she dog but atlast she is now vert disciplined. It was very easy to train the other he dog of mine. But this differes from dog to dog. Please dont get rid of your dog. treat it with lots of love and kind soft words and dont hesitate to raise your voice when it has done something wrong. Afterall they are like our kids. All the best for yor training. Hope your dog becomes very disciplined

I will be a pain but its what you have to do. You should take them outside and put them in the grass and stay with them untill they go. Do this every 2-3 hours and after they eat. Reward them after they go. When the puppy gets older start letting him go outside by himself. (if you have a fence do this) Just let him out as usual and keep rewarding him when he does. If he does go in the house say, "No! bad dog!" and put him outside. I would put her in a crate at night.

Start training her now. She will need to go out every couple of hrs and sometimes sooner. She will have some accidents.
Using a crate is a good idea to help train her. Take her first thing in the morning, scoop her up from the crate and take her to a desired area outside to potty which is close. Praise her when she goes. (The crate should allow for some growing but not have a lot of room in it, no bedding or food or water in it.)
Give her the first feeding and make sure she has access to plenty of fresh water when you bring her back inside. Watch her carefully and when she begins to sniff and circle, take her back outside, repeat the praising if she goes. If she does not, put her in the crate for an hour then take her out and repeat the potty process.
Come back in and watch for the same thing, let her play outside the crate for 20 minutes or so, put her in for a few hrs. If she whines after being in for awhile, take her outside to potty.
After a few hrs, take her out- just keep repeating this and feed her 3-4 times a day the recommended amount for puppy her size divided into those feeding times. Give her a few bland puppy treats, biscuits in between, maybe a Kong to chew on with a tiny bit of Peanut Butter.
You can put a chew toy in her crate with her, like a flavored Nylabone. Discard when ends are worn away.
After a few weeks you should be able to extend her time out to play and shorten the time in. By three mos old she shoud be able to be out a few hrs at a time, in a few.
She should be able to hold it all night, but pick her water bowl up at night around 7 except to give her a few laps of water if she plays a lot after that time. Take her out for her last potty just before you go to bed. If she wakes up in the middle of the night whining or barking, take her out. This won't last long because she is going to need a bit of time for her bladder to be able to hold it for longer.
By the time she is six mos old she should be able to go three to four times a day.
She may have an occasional rare accident.
When she does, tell her NO, take her out right away to her potty area. Usually they will at least act like they are going or squeeze out a few drops to show you they know where they were supposed to go, praise them for it if they do that.
Clean the area where the accident occurred with something to break down the urine scent. i follow that up with Resolve tough stain carpet cleaner being sure between each product to soak up first the pee, then the urine break down substance, then the resolve, leaving the latter two down for a few minutes each.

i know it is a pain in the a** but you need to take her now. Don't wait any longer. Set your timer for every 30 min (just like you would a toddler) and take the pup outside every 30 min. If she has an accident in the house but her nose near it and tell her no no (some people say to tap them on the nose while you are doing this). Hope this helps
