I have to concur with the 40 year Taylor-Fladgate tawny port. In the US it runs around $150 USD for a 750 ml bottle.
WORTH
EVERY
PENNY!!!

Your finer wine shops will carry it or be able to obtain it for you.

Firstly go into a book shop and look at the back of a good wine reference book, as there should be a "Vintage Guide" letting you know if 1966 was a good year and which growing areas showed well. After that surf the net looking for wines and ports that fit the bill. Beware though that any wines that are 40 years and over are expensive. The one port that you could try is tawny as they MUST declare an age statement, and the oldest is 40 years, and if you do go for it try it slightly chilled. Preferably I would go for a vintage port as 1966 was actually a cracker, but unfortunately the prices start at £100

Some wines from Bordeaux will age well and have an unbeleivable level of complexity. 1967 was an average year for Bordeaux though so pick a high end vinyard to ensure quality. Ports are declared as vintage by the producers when they feel that they are an exceptional year. I would opt of a 40 year old tawny port that has a blend of years averaging 40 years. Taylor Fladgate 40 year old Tawney is exceptional

Depends where you live of course. Any decent sized city has a wine store that could order it for you. But definitly go with the port as it will be hard to find a 40 year old wine that has been stored properly. Its not imposssible but Port is sturdier and more likely to be excellent.

Over 20 years you have little chance to find a drinkable wine so if you find one its just to keep for fun. For Port you can sometimes find some. since you are in UK i can only give you 1 advice ....contact GIORDANO. I'm sure you will find them on the net !

Ok, firstly dont panic. You're no use to anyone if you panic. Next try to talk to him. If he doesn't listen then you have to get someone medical involved. If he's contemplating suicide or self harm, then seriously, get a doctor. If he really loves you then he wouldnt burden you with something as horrible as suicide. Believe me, the power of words is an amazing thing. Good Luck, Charlie

At a specialist dealer with the downside of being a bit more pricy. Otherwise visit Christies auctions in London.

I'd be tempted to buy him a wine, but its really difficult to buy good uncorked wine. If you have a local wine merchants its probably a good idea to ask them for their advice. They will be able to purchase it on your behalf or give you one of their contacts. Good luck!
