Call your mom at work and as tell her what happened. If there is something broken, it's an emergency and your dog isn't going to be able to wait 6 hours. If you wait until then, your vet will be closed and taking the dog to the emergency room might cost you and quite a bit of money.

He might have internal injuries if the bigger dog stepped on him.

Call Mom now and see what to do. If you can't get a hold of her is there someone else you could call? Do you have your vet's number, give him a call.

Phone the vet and ask what to do. They may suggest giving him a Tylenol to ease the pain. But do not do this without asking first.
Stroke the dog and talk soothingly to him. This will calm him down. Dogs pick up on emotions. Encourage him to lay down unless that is painful.
If you can contact your mom then do that. This is an emergency !!You cannot expect to leave the dog in pain for six hours. If not call another grown up that your mom trusts and they will help you.
Otherwise you will have to call the vet in and tell them that you cannot pay today and that your mom will.

you could call a cab if you have the money and are really worried, he might have just had his paw bitten or something tho. if he'll let you, apply light pressure to the feet and each pad and slowly work your way up each leg to see where exactly the pain is coming from. if its starting to swell, then yes it can be a sign of something broken. there are also emergancy vets that might be willing to come get him too.

if its REALLY bad and he's obviously in pain, call your mom and see if she can come home, or if she can call a neighbor you guys trust to take you over to the vet asap. let him rest for a little while if he's willing to lay down. keep him calm for the time being

I would call the vet first and get his/her advice. They will most likely want you to bring the little guy in. Do you have a neighbor who could take you to the vet? If not, call your mom and get her opinion on the situation. She would probably be willing to take off of work and get the dog to the vet.

If he is breathing normally and his tongue is nice and pink, get him to the vet as soon as you can. If it's a broken leg, it would be OK to wait till your mom gets home if you have to. If he is straining to breathe or his tongue is blue, you need to call your mom and figure out how to get him there now.

Try to keep him quiet and calm inside with you. Even if you sit with him in your lap or lying beside you and just stroke him gently and talk to him calmly.

My dog broke her leg when she was a pup and i had to sit with her in my lap for a coupel of hours while we waited to get in to see an emergency vet and she ended up recovering fully.
