I was a Hindu for 20 years and I believed in God then. I am an atheist but I dont see any difference with how happy/enthusiastic I am when I wake up in the morning. If anything, atheism is more life-affirming than religion can ever hope to be.

But I wish, there were an after-life and that some feeling, thinking part of me lives on even after I die in this life. I dont think it will happen, though

i wish i could say yes. i want my religion 2 b the center of my life. i want God 2 b everything that i long 2 b.

but if i had 2 b honest, it's difficult 2 ALWAYS feel like that. 2 b a christian isn't always easy and it doesn't matter how much i love God it's easy 2 fall back on a sinful life.
i don't think i'd die without it. my life would empty and i would feel like crap, but die? i dont know.
maybe i'm just not a very good christian. don't worry, im working on it

If You Have to Make a Choice

[9:23] O you who believe, do not ally yourselves even with your parents and your siblings, if they prefer disbelieving over believing. Those among you who ally themselves with them are transgressing.

Important Criterion*

[9:24] Proclaim: "If your parents, your children, your siblings, your spouses, your family, the money you have earned, a business you worry about, and the homes you cherish are more beloved to you than GOD and His messenger, and the striving in His cause, then just wait until GOD brings His judgment." GOD does not guide the wicked people.

God as te Father with an eternal life in heaven is the basis formy life. Without them I could not get through many many days. The Lord has done as promised and carried me through many hard times. Could I live without them , I guess I could but it would not be much of a quality of life. Without them we would not be therefore life would be here live it die the end. With them we have apromise that He ( Jesus) goes to prepare for a place for us in HIs Fathers mansion in Heaven. Have a blesses day. Amen

I wouldn't die without my religion, after all, it is God I would die without. Without Him, I am nothing. Without Him, nothing will exist. I would die if the God, who is the one my religion revolves around was not here.

Hmmm.... I never really had a religion to begin with, and I am 15 years old now.

Apparently, I can answer questions, so we can safely assume that I am alive.

Now, excluding the first, say, 8-10 years of my life, I still have had ample time to kill myself.

Being happy with my life at the moment (which drastically reduces the risk of suicide, I can assure you), I can say that the answer to your question is "no".

i have to say that with out my faith i would feel very empty and meaningless and life wouldn't be as rich as it is. if not for my religion i think i would have certainly commited suicide at certain times in my life because those events would have been completely unbearable. so i guess in a sense yes i would be dead by now with out it

No. I don't believe I would die without it, but I would not be as satisfied with life.
