Hey, I still have a bad cold and can't stay home. I have to go to my job at the mall today (fortunately I work retail and not in the food court!) I have been sneezing a lot and I don't want to make people uncomfortable around me. I can't hold my sneezes in, it hurts my head. Is there a more polite way to sneeze so that I don't upset people around me?

Thanks for the advice so far. Do you think it is rude to sneeze into your elbow - it doesn't seem very feminine to sneeze onto my shirt sleeve?!?

Be sure to have a pocket full of disposable tissues, cover your nose and your mouth and wash your hands after each sneeze to prevent the spread of cold germs. Good luck, hope you are feeling better soon. God bless****

don't sneeze on people, products, people's belongings. With that out of the way, try to sneeze into a tissue (carry with you), or a handkerchief (I know its a bit outdate, but its better than nothing) and not into your hand. If anything, turn to the side and sneeze at the direction of the floor way from product, customer, coworker. I guess sneezing in your elbow is okay, but some people might find that repulsive. A tissue is the best way to go.

Either sneeze into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.

You could either sneeze into a tissue or if you don't have one available, sneeze into the inside of your elbow. It doesn't get those little germs on your hands to pass on to your customers.

You simply say "Excuse me," and turn your head away from people. Cover your mouth and sneeze or do it into the crook of your neck if you are working with customers. Sometimes if you feel a sneeze coming on, you can thiink about it, anticipate it, and it won't come at all.

Sneeze in your elbow; that way there's no hand-to-hand contact. Try to take lots of short breaks. My sympathies--I worked retail, and I hated those days!

When you are about to sneeze, take a tissue paper and sneeze on it. Or take medicine that prevent you from sneezing or cold. ^_^

With sneezes I definitely have a tendency to choose for an exaggerated, finished-physique eruption via allowing the strain of the push of air to propel my palms and legs in unpredictable guidelines. It does not seem somewhat elegant even though it amuses me and makes people snigger for particularly a protracted time.
