Jesus said, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do." They don't know any better, to be honest.

I believe Yeshua was a historic figure, but why would anyone believe in incarnate gods? Or people dead three days getting back up? Or that Benny Hinn cures cancer by waving his jacket at the crowd? Or that Peter Popoff hears angelic voices, as opposed to his wife feeding him information through a radio transmitter? Followers of all great men in the Greco-Roman world asserted their founder or king was born of the gods in some way. All religions insisted they were so because someone else had witnessed miracles, or someone claimed their book was revealed by the gods. It's all primitive nonsense for which there is absolutely no evidence whatever, and you only believe because you've been conditioned to accept without proof the ludicrous claims of your religion, even though you immediately recognize such claims as ridiculous when other religions make the same claims.

I don't think people "choose" to not believe in Jesus. I, myself do not believe Jesus was the Son of God. I don't choose to believe that way, I just don't believe. I have studied Christianity, and was raised a Christian. Growing up, everybody thought I was going to be a preacher when I grew up. But as I got old enough to think for myself, I started actually studying it more and more, and the more I studied it, the more I didn't believe in it.

Alot of people I think chose not to believe because they have been hurt real bad. or maybe they think if God was really there then why does all these bad things keep happening to me. Then many are blinded by satan. They do not realise that satan is the father of lies.

I believe Jesus "existed". Why don't you believe in Mithras? What I don't understand is why do people give you a thumbs down for your question?

Primarily because if one accepts the validity of the old testament, then Jesus is shown to be a liar and fraud, and if one does not accept the validity of the old testament, then there is no messianic prophecy at all.

I think controlling churches make more Pagans and atheists than any Pagan or atheist group ever thought of producing.
