Try lowering the heat 25 degrees and bake longer, about 20 mins. longer. If you add chocolate chips to the batter, you have to decrease the liquid amount a little. :P mmmm...brownies!

I have a box of brownie mix and according to it, you have to cook it for 31 -34 minutes for a 8x8in pan or for 28 - 31 minutes for a 9x9in pan. Since your pan is smaller than both, I would say to cook it 35 minutes or so and take a toothpick and poke it through the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, then they are done.
Good Luck =)

honestly, since I bought a square stoneware baker my brownies don't burn on the edges and stay moist in the middle, they're moist from top to bottom, side to side. I really recommend them (and no I'm not trying to get you to ask me if I can order it) I just find great results with cooking in stones because the stone heats with the food, not cooking the food. This ensures that the food doesn't burn and everything stays juicy.

For now, I'd add a few minutes to the cooking time but I think your going to get really crispy edges. Good luck.

think you have to start baking with bottom heat
then change to top heat when batter rised...
test with a satay stick to see if the brownies bottom is cooked...
if it's still not well cooked...add ten more min but in middle heat to prevent the top to burn

did you decrease the ingredient amount since the size of the pan is decreased?

It could be the amount of eggs, or oil were not appropiate for the size of pan, and it is giving you the uncooked batter on the bottom.
